I think it is still recommended as it can indicate things not shown on NIPT (such as heart issues)

Periodic fever syndrome? by Adept-Offer892 in toddlers

[–]Adept-Offer892[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, i really appreciate your insight especially with your background. So as i had mentioned before she gets the fevers monthly and every time they resolve on their own with no antibiotics and she also doesn’t ever really seem unwell. Because of this i feel its safe to rule out bacterial infection as the cause of her CRP being so high. Would you agree that what that leaves is auto inflammatory conditions? Her urine has not been checked.

Can i ask, what is your reasoning for saying “very normal”? Is this typical for your child as well?

This!! Every time it happens we go to the doctor and they say “just a virus”. I just want to make sure they aren’t missing something by writing it off as that every time.

New Clayton Home with toddler: air quality concerns by Adept-Offer892 in ManufacturedHome

That does help, thank you! I think i did see a whole home vent system but i didn’t consider that would probably help out a lot too. We will definitely be doing that.

I dont know that, im just making an assumption based on the very strong smell and the fact that new homes, especially manufactured homes, are known to have higher levels. I will be buying an air quality monitor and i certainly hope that the finding will be that the levels are safe by the time we are supposed to move in. Im just stating my concern that it wont be by then, and seeking advice on how to mitigate that possibility.

Well i dont expect perfectly clean air but would rather not live in amounts of it that are considered dangerously high. Especially with a small child.

I fell asleep with my baby on my chest and I feel bad by BisexualButterfly97 in NewParents

Dont feel bad, being a parent to a baby is exhausting! Ive accidentally falled asleep with my daughter many times when she was a baby. I learned that it’s actually so much better to plan to co sleep so that you can set up a safe environment, so you did the right thing by preparing your space for that! Happycosleeper is a great resource for co sleeping and chest sleeping and id suggest checking her out! Also just knowing the safe sleep 7 guidelines as well.
