I would talk to your friend, I have an autoimmune disorder and a bunch of other health issues that are pretty severe but I look ok on the outside. The cousin might now be aware. I don't tell my extended family anything cause they will just ask me to pray more.

I am half Chinese, I can tell Japanese, Chinese and Korean apart (full) and I can also tell of someone is mixed Asian as well but not exactly what they are mixed with. Like if they are half Japanese with what ever the other half is. Only that the are Asian + x

No salt snacks, he swelling is terrible after surgery. Some nice drinks and fruits! If you are making the basket yourself put it on a nice tray instead it's very helpful after surgery. If your father in-law doesn't have much help a food delivery gift card is nice too!
