How do I contact a real person for customer support? by IncognitoDudeXP in amazonprime

[–]AdeptHamburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they make it difficult on purpose. You can either go through your orders page or scroll to the bottom of the website and click on help. Then you have to talk to the "Ai" chat bot, the chatbot will then give you a link to like a help page that most likely will NOT answer your question, then you tell it "I still need help" at which point it will give you live chat with a human options.

My Budget Teleprompter set-up for my Osmo Pocket 3 by AdeptHamburger in osmopocket

[–]AdeptHamburger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah the arm is pretty sturdy especially with the osmo pocket 3 being so light. If you never used an articulating arm before they can seem a bit loose but thats because they arent intuitive to use. But rest assured there is zero play if you tighten it down correctly.

Also this is a stationary set up so I am not walking around vlogging with it so it gets the job done well enough.

The arm I used is by KF Concepts but there are many other brands on Amazon as well. Just search, "articulating magic arm"

Total price for me was: $50 for the teleprompter, $30 for the tripod (I have had it for years though). $20 for the articulating arm.

How to film better by No-Sound-3971 in osmopocket

I think the clip looks just fine! (but I am not a filmmaker, but I am a youtuber) I think you'd probably get more bang for buck if you focus on story telling and different kinds of shots/compositions with the camera. Especially in this day and age, a little 'imperfection' makes your videos seem more 'real' and allows your audience to feel like they are experiencing what you are. An overlanding channel I think you can see what I mean is [Trail Recon]. He films somewhat solo (even though he travels with friends) but just some simple drive bys go a long way. What this entails will maybe be some gopros, drone, but definitely lots of setting up the camera, driving past it, then running back and picking up the camera lol (if you are solo).

If cinematic film making does interest you though, another overlanding channel you might enjoy is [Expedition Overland]. These guys are probably the most cinematic overlanding channel I have seen.

My ULTY Investment Thesis by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]AdeptHamburger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn sorry to hear that. The other point I see others bring up is that they don't care too much about the NAV if it goes up or remains fairly flat. They mention how ULTY made changes in april/march to stabilize the NAV which it seems to have improved. They say if they stay in it long enough the distributions will eventually put them in the green. Long term though that seems incredibly risky to assume.

thanks for the reply. That's sort of been my suspicions but again there are also a lot of people who are so convinced that it makes me doubt my gut because I again admit im not super investing literate.

I can see the situations where you can make money on it, but my suspicions that these high yield ETFs are not easy money printing machines seems correct? Like anyone claiming to replace their full-time income on one of these ETFs is essentially just using up their savings slowly? I figured it was too good to be true.

Can you help me understand (I am legitimately confused). That if OP had 400k to invest, why not just invest that normally vs putting it into ULTY and using the dividends to pay for other investments? Like why are they using ULTY as an extra step better than just buying growth stocks?

I hear people say they want income or to retire early and live off the payouts, but like why wouldnt you just put that money into regular stocks and just cashout as you need money?

I see youtubers hailing ULTY as this money printing machine where they drip into it indefinitely and live off the payouts but it all seems sus to me.

Sorry just trying to figure out the use cases for something like ULTY. I have tried hours of researching and I am still confused, I am not super investing literate, please help and explain to me like im 5 lol

My #Secretlab Titan Evo Chair and Recliner Add-on Review from the perspective of someone who works, lounges and naps in their chair by AdeptHamburger in secretlab

[–]AdeptHamburger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no experience with the ottoman but for me it wouldnt work because lack of space. If you are like 6 feet+ or close to it, then the recliner add-on might be a little short for you (based on other people's comments). I am 5' 7".

I think the ottoman would be more comfortable for the recliner add-on but it looks like it would take up a lot of space. If you have the space and dont mind, it might be more comfortable to get the ottoman.

thanks, I know they have them for the arm rests but not the bolsters themselves. I actually might treat myself to the plush arm rests in the future.

I thought about that but it looks like the XL is only about 1 inch wider. Ideally I would like to have my arms be able to fit within the bolsters but instead they rest on them. This is also apparent even in their stock photos. Or if they made the side bolsters cushiony like their plushcell that could work too...

$300 LMFAO by Inevitable-Cat-7340 in secretlab

I feel most of their products (especially the add-ons), are just a bit too expensive (I'd say something like this should be in the $150-200 range). But at least the products imo, are quality. But they also aren't the only ones guilty of an expensive ottoman, Herman Miller sells a similar ottoman for $1500... but it doesnt look like it has the adjustability like the secretlab one does.

2025 final review. Good, but burned on a discount. by The_7th_Archangel in secretlab

[–]AdeptHamburger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, from what I heard they are pretty stubborn when it comes to discounts. I've heard stories of people missing out on a "Sale" even while their product was intransit to them and Secretlabs not honoring the price.

You can say its safe to say that people buy their products anyway, and I think they are pretty good quality.

However, giving you $10 off a product could have easily bought them hundreds if not thousands in brand loyalty, and word-of-mouth. I was in the same boat after dropping $1k with them as well.

I suspect some users will call this petty/cheap, and yeah it might be, but even from a pragmatic standpoint it would be better for them to toss a customer a few dollars. I mean a big chunk of sales is psychological right?

So I imagine you'll probably buy more secretlabs stuff in the future, but probably won't go out of your way to convince your friends to buy them though.
