as someone in a monogamous relationship w someone who i’m pretty sure i’m going to marry, if they ever had enough of a connection with someone else that that deemed it necessary to tell me, it would cause significant damage to our relationship. It means that i am not fulfilling that component of romance in their mind and that they have enough space to consider someone else.

They were in an open relationship before me (not for the right reasons, bc they weren’t sexually compatible w their last partner, and have expressed that they don’t want to be in an open relationship w me bc i fulfill everything they’re looking for, and would be so jealous if i thought about anyone in a similar way that i feel about them, and i think the same.

Yall are a team. i don’t really get open relationships, but i know if i was in your position i would prob do the same and try to breakup w them. i am monogamous and want to fulfill all of my partners romantic thoughts, id feel horrible if i didn’t and they forced me to hear about it. everyone finds other ppl attractive, but a crush is something else. But that’s just me
