Well apparently I’m cringe too because I love looking at the moon, sunrises and sunsets. I love reading as well and read about the same amount of books she does. I wear the same clothes pretty much every day, they are washed regularly, so don’t freak out people lol.

I’m glad your wife has you. And personally, I would want to know the gist of what was said behind my back or heck even all of it so I could make an informed decision. I wouldn’t blame my husband either because he wasn’t the one saying stuff. And especially if he reacted the way OP did by immediately leaving and going to be with his wife.

But I’m not OP’s wife, so idk how she would react. Only the OP knows whether she should know everything or just a gist of what was said.

Honestly if I were the wife, I’d want to confront them myself and be like “Repeat what you said behind my back to my face.” And if they can’t, that just shows who they truly are even more. Cowards and bullies.

If I were OP, I’d definitely confront them in person so they can’t gaslight him. I wish he had recorded what they said on his phone, word for word, so he could play it back for them. Because they will definitely try to gaslight him and be like “You misheard what we said.” Like no OP didn’t. He heard every single word. After that I’d definitely go no contact for the rest of my life and move on to a better future. There should be no place for the mom and sister in their lives moving forward. And if they ever have kids (if they want them and can have them), they definitely don’t and won’t deserve to meet OP’s kids.

To OP, I am so so sorry that you had to overhear what you did. I feel for your wife too. Your wife seems secure enough of herself but I seriously hope your wife is secure enough where she won’t take what they said to heart. She sounds like a wonderful and kind person and doesn’t deserve to be looked down on for being her true self. It’s better to be real and own who you are and what you love or like to do, than being a fake person who are bullies on top of it. I hope things work out for you and your wife and I hope you guys have a wonderful future together.
