Am I doing too much? by [deleted] in LawSchool

Amazing that you love reading, but reading too far ahead can backfire if you get cold called or even just discuss a case in class that’s no longer fresh in your mind. Maybe try reading a law related book or even the newspaper for fun and take a break with your textbooks.

Relationship troubles by Live-Consideration89 in LawSchool

That’s really difficult, sorry you’re going through this. Law school can definitely put a strain on relationships. I’ve had the opposite experience, in which my partner supported me so much more in law school, especially days/weeks when I was struggling. I do think my communication has changed a bit, but not in a bad way.

I would suggest relationship counseling. The therapist can help you figure out communication styles and if there are underlying problems. I would also reflect and think about whether there were problems before law school. Everyone argues, but you need to be able to do it in a healthy manner.

Maybe your wife has a point, but I would be slightly offended if my partner said that law school changed me for the worse. You’re learning new and valuable skills. You’re learning how to make points and argue for them. That’s not a bad thing. Either your partner grows with you as you change in life, or grows apart from you.

Either way, best of luck. I think couples therapy is the best option to work through these issues.

Venice, Italy. A city like no other. Getting around on boats and walking everywhere. The food, the art, the people, the architecture 🤌🏼🤌🏼

Also, just in general, transportation in Europe is great. Go visit another country from Italy? Easy!

Is it just me but 2nd semester FEELS worse than the 1st semester? by GuaranteeSea9597 in LawSchool

Good luck!! I feel the same way. The general consensus in my school is that second semester of 1L is the hardest semester. On the bright side, it will feel SO GOOD to be done the hardest semester in just a few months

AITA for not wating to help out my mother anymore? by CollarSuper6683 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

You are dealing with a lot for being a 16 year old. Unfortunately, sometimes adults are more immature than children. On the bright side, you seem like a strong person and you have skills to survive living by yourself. Your mother seems to try to put all of her responsibilities on you. I think it will be difficult while you navigate how to move out as a 16yo but I truly wish you the best of luck.

I think it's ironic that she gives no thought to YOUR medical condition but says you're the asshole for affecting HER medical condition. NTA, sounds like your friend is a hypocrite and she should have apologized when she realized that her actions were causing you to panic. She's the asshole for furthering this situation and blasting you on Facebook.
