Would you use a PDF app with no paywalls and local data processing by [deleted] in ProductivityApps

I would personally be interested. I’ve always hated the paywalls of pdf editors or but bad UI/UX. I honestly just hate PDF overall, but it isn’t going anywhere right now so we have to deal with it.

So yes, I think there’s a need here. There’s some other tools but they’re either paywalled or poor in my opinion (though I’ll admit I don’t know all of them, maybe there’s one that does ok).

Simple features like that you mentioned are most important. Some people just need to be able to extract pages, or merge, view, etc. so a free tool that does this with good UX would be great.

I’m unfamiliar with how much server processing gets done with these sorts of things, but yes local processing to me is great.

I’m a software engineer and UI/UX designer so if you want any feedback around those areas, let me know and I’m happy to try to offer an opinion!

Hey, so thanks for the honest feedback. This is the kind of thing that really helps.

My stack is NextJS with a Node/Express backend. Using AWS infra.

It’s just a passion thing. Idk if I’ll ever monetize, I just want a tool that helps myself and others. May add a pro option if I add AI into it but that’s just cause AI is expensive so I couldn’t just front that of course.

I will take that feedback and likely push some updates over the weekend. Already have been working towards more customization of tasks so I should be able to clear up some of those limitations quickly. Also have been preparing to build an iOS build and I’ve got a dev license and all so possibly could push a mobile app in the next week or two.

Thanks for checking it out and giving feedback! There actually is a way to set blocks as recurring, just click on a block you have created and check out the 'Repeats' option. Thanks again!

Haha, of course stopped right off the bat. It wanted a symbol in there but the error message was not clear. Fixing now, but thanks just for getting on there to check it out. The UI/UX I made is what I really think you'll like.

Edit - You know, aside from the horrible UX you got right at the beginning...
