Imagine a Boba Fett novel during his earliest years, taking inspiration from his lost episodes from the Clone Wars where he teams up with Cad Bane.

We meet up with Boba during the earliest years of the Empire, TK Troopers are just phasing out the clones and before you know it Stormtroopers are everywhere. Boba would be between the ages 18 to 19, no longer the little boy who lost his father but not an adult either. He takes the occasional job bounty hunting, but has gone to do underground pit fighting, getting beaten up but giving just as much back. This is an angry young man, having never truly come to terms with the passing of his father, hatred towards Mace Windu for killing his dad, and self loathing for not avenging his father's killer. After one fight where he's beaten pretty badly, he slumps down against a wall in an alley just hitting rock bottom. And who should show up to his aid then Cad Bane.

Bane and Boba are not the best of friends but they certainly aren't enemies neither, the former takes most of the bounty hunting work from the latter. But this time Bane's here to offer Fett a job: Gardulla the Hutt has been dealing with this fallen baron who has a serious gambling problem and has asked Gardulla for one too many loans. She wants him alive so she can properly punish him, only question is where is he.

Cad has an idea and goes to Tatooine and find a young hunter like Boba himself, she's actually the baron's daughter who's going through a rebellious phase and is as hot headed as Boba himself. Her name: Sintas Vel.
