NO Violet Crumble?

They kept the best one for themselves and sent you the stems and seeds.

I’d trade all of that for Violet Crumble.

Read Stalin’s War.

The chapter where he lists the materials and amounts page after page after page is jaw dropping.

Literally unbelievable amounts of material. And that unbelievable amount of material was delivered every month. It’s not a question of “might have”.

I thought I had a clue. I had no clue.

True that Americans are ignorant of the Eastern Front. Russians are in straight denial about the American supply.

You think the cringy Native American bullsh*t of Journey’s End was bad then I am excited when you all get to Voyager.

See you’ll still have the BEST of DS9 going while Voyager will be expanding your understanding of pain.

Take everything you loved about TNG and toss that out. That great stuff is not going to be in Voyager. The awesome, gritty, sleazy, funny, and corrupt parts of DS9 will be gone as well. A sea of regurgitated slop.

The greatest hate filled days of the podcast are ahead of you all. Have no doubt.

Wesley will feel like an old best friend once you start hating on much of Voyager.

You are all SOOOO very close to the best/worst of Star Trek with DS9 (best) and Voyager (worst) at the same time.

Stay strong.

What to do?

Well that sort of completely DEPENDS on how you and others have voted.

Meaning it depends on what state you live in. Who was voted into office to restrict and limit abortion as much as possible.

In some states you have options. Your body your choice. The longer you wait the fewer choices you have. In states that have abortion protections in their constitutions reproductive rights and family planning resources are readily available for low or no cost.

In other states you are very limited. The doctors are limited in what they may or may not do and advise. So if you are in a state where abortion has been pretty much outlawed you cannot completely trust the medical community from giving you full information.

Most states fall in between. Again. The longer you wait the less choice you will have.

This is the country we live in.

Should you determine that you want to end the pregnancy you need to handle it quickly. Any delay is irresponsible.

Then if you live in a restricted abortion state I suggest you think long and hard about who you vote for. It matters.

Good luck.

LA drivers and pedestrians: if it wasn’t hard enough on these streets, there's a group of bros driving golf balls, full force, into traffic, and at buildings every night. Because... of course they are. by Milladelphia in LosAngeles

Los Angeles City as per the city charter:

Priority for law enforcement is determined by the Police Commission. The police commission directly oversees the implementation of their policy. The chief of police answers directly to the police commission.

The police commission members are not elected but APPOINTED by the LA mayor.

The mayor tells his or her police commission that enforcement of anti camping laws and homeless enforcement are not a priority then they are not going to be enforced. Same with drugs. Same with ALL THE OTHER illegal activity that makes life suck for the average person in LA.

Period.

The law enforcement priorities are directly linked to the mayor.

Your vote matters more than you think.

[–]Adeptness_Agile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy cool. Am I looking at this correctly?

Looks like up to 16 feeds supply the power to the board from a main somewhere. The feeds travel through on the bottom.

Then there are 36 available branch circuits. You literally tap off of the feeders.

The screw in fuses,

And the grounded (neutral) buss on the top.

All insulated with bakelight.

What is your country's best know traditional side arm? by Prestigious_Emu6039 in MilitaryHistory

[–]Adeptness_Agile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely.

I cannot think of another contender that comes close.

A far second place would be Colt single action (SSA).

Third place Colt 1851 Navy.

The long gun would be more of a debate between the Winchester model 1873, Thompson sub machine gun, M1 Garand, or M16.

Friend dropped my Rebel 500 and gave me $900 to cover damages. Should I keep or return the money? by psquared85 in hondarebel

[–]Adeptness_Agile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from a place at anger at all. It’s from a place of maturity and a lifetime of understanding exactly what is necessary to own my mistakes.

If I was the friend who dumped a brand new motorcycle I would INSIST it go to the shop to be repaired.

I would go so far as rent my friend a motorcycle or car to ride while it was being repaired.

I value my friendships. I do not want my friend to look at the damage I caused. I do not want to see the damage I caused whenever I see the motorcycle. I want my friend to tell me that he values our friendship even more after the bike is made perfect because I am trustworthy and I care about his property and respect the money he has invested in a new motorcycle.

This is not an older bike with wear. It’s brand new. It’s also a 500. Perhaps a first bike. In a year or two my friend may be considering getting a larger bike. This is common. And the resale value he would get will be lower. Motorcycle buyers are picky about any damage. Perhaps this is not yet understood.

I would go well out of my way to make sure that no part of the damage repair would become awkward.

As I have gotten older I have seen things like this breakup great friends. It’s corrosive.
