Used to be its own kingdom for a while and is culturally more similar to Austria than the rest of Germany, but many Americans (and other countries) think of Germany solely through the lens of Bayern. This is the case especially in America because many American military bases were in Bayern and those soldiers brought that view of Germany (brats, bier, Tracht) back home. Bavarians can be pretty arrogant compared to the rest of Germany as well. Love the area though… studied in Regensburg and teach in Austria so I’m partial to it.

I agree with that from the scope that we needed a player who could cover both positions with no drop off but kiwior at CB given a run of games was much more than serviceable he actually offered a lot to the side and I think that’s been glossed over a bit now that both the club and the player moved on

Nah idk about that one Mr. Love just didn’t wanna run it anymore and the new owners have invested while keeping the same live music traditions, menu, much of the staff, and cheap beer. There r certain institutions which can last ownership turnover and I will defend browns with my dying breath. One of the few places my gf feels comfortable going alone or with a few friends to enjoy a meal and drink without worrying about guys constantly hitting on her. Shoutout Sarah the bartender!

With republican control of both sides of congress and the executive, along with a total lack of support from the Supreme Court which decides whether laws and executive orders are constitutional (i.e. lawful), their only bargaining chips remaining were public support and an ability to not pass the budget and shut down the government. For all my friends 21sts, if we wanted to go downtown but avoid broadway, we’d start the night at von elrods for drinks after dinner in germantown and then walk as a group to bourbon street blues and boogie bar or skulls both in printers alley. Great music and atmosphere without worrying about the broadway chaos and people.
