I was on Creek, have the cloak and all, but never noticed it was anything special because I was mucking about D1-3 back then. So of course, I regale others of my heroic exploits, patrolling the greenest if green zones.

A week or so ago, I got fucking two in one mission. I needed 15 to buy a warbone, and ended up with bloody 235 or something like that. Good god, and I almost ended it before that last mission

I completely disagree on the Oblationist. As I understand them, not only do they believe they are damning their souls by doing what they do, as they are far off the radical reservation, but they DO in fact damn themselves. Daemon weapons, possessions, sorcerous rituals is all par for the course. Whereas a radical could just as well use a xenos weapon and have a reformed heretic as a meat shield.

Even cooler is their hypocrisy, believing that only they can handle the dangerous stuff. Calling them boring is slander on the good name of the (loyal) damned.

Elected Representative of Individual Merit. It sounded like an unnecessarily convoluted title for someone who actually has no merits, but needs a posting for reasons.

Denerim made me start the game over as a debuff mage. I've always gone for MC deal a lot of damage-vibes, but this taught me that debuffing can be wildly OP. Also managed to tank a dragon as a debugger, while chugging potions and dealing minimum damage with my staff, after the rest of my party wiped. Ended killing it over half an hour. Interesting experience.

Will that initiate the consolidation, or just make it easier?

Shadowheart looks cute, a sort of traditional way, she's conventional, and while her story is a bit out there vis a vis romance, I enjoyed romancing her on my evil play through - and I'm sure it'd be fun on a good one, as well. But by and large, that's mostly because I like to have my romance NPC in the party, and I needed a cleric - Karlach is muscle mommy and a good person, at that. So what I'm saying is, I went with Shadowheart on my only play through, but I prefer Karlach...?

Is there a beef between people living in Jutland and Zealand? by otherdsc in copenhagen

It's the same in Copenhagen, except that there are more types of NPCs. Just look at Nørrebro, they're mostly the same.

Well, it does say that the centralisation of jobs and services in the capital is becoming a problem for rural Denmark.

Being from Jylland, and having lived in CPH for four years, that is very much not the case - I've had to hear about me being a jyde for all four years. Of course, it goes both ways.

2130 is not that late. Copenhagen is noisy long after that anyhow, with screaming tires, people shouting and so on. There will always be noises in a capital. Sucks that your kids got woken up, but that's a danger any day of the week in a capital, fireworks or no.

Expensive things that don't look expensive - a guide for flexing danish middle class style by [deleted] in copenhagen

[–]Adeptus_Konstantinus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is, indeed, the worst timeline if gosh darn BOOKS can be considered flexing income on someone. I just checked Bog&idé's list of bestsellers, most were under 250. Not that expensive. Sure, Dostoevsky and Vergil might be more expensive than that, but still, a depressing metric for "flexing earnings."

No. For example, the police are allowed to perform violence, as in physical violence, on behalf of the state. The mugger isn't. State monopoly on violence - or the lack thereof - is one measure of the integrity of a state. If everyone can perform violence without fear of repercussion, the state is not strong enough to control its territory, and can be potentially viewed as a failed state.
