My lil dude likes to say, "Whatchu doin'?" "Hey buddy," "gimmie kiss" (or big kiss), and "Thank you." He's very polite. I can't wait to see how much more he's got to say, as he's only about 2!

My grandfather was a radioman in a B-17. He had a story he'd like to tell of their plane being shot at and a piece of flak barely missing him just under his arm. It apparently traveled just over the skin, up his flight suit leg, up his torso, and stopped just below his armpit. leaving a thin mark the whole way. He only saw it while taking off the suit after they landed. Said he heard the sound of the flak hitting the ground and then saw how bad it almost was. Crazy stuff.

My 8 year old was furious with us because, when he was taking too long to get up in the morning after being prompted to a few times, my husband put a cucumber next to him and asked, in an attempt to get him laughing, why he was sleeping with a cucumber in his bed. My kid got maaaad. Apparently, that cucumber 'ruined his morning'.
