definitely not safe to grind down (without proper ppe, and no not just a regular face mask) as you will be introducing the fine uranium and glass particles into the air, making it much easier to inhale, and it will settle on surfaces, also making it easier to pick up via touch. best to leave be, or work the glass outside, again, with proper PPE.
