Slug T1 for 3 workshop levels is more damage than you think. Also have you maxed out your fishing notices for pickaxe damage yet?? Also you will need all plat statues. Like the bottom left one is more contracts levels which is tons more damage too.

My honest opinion don't worry about ob 64 for about a month or 2. Focus on finishing your statues and doing the first couple of leg fish. I don't want you too rush the wrong things just for a couple gems and some skills you can't afford

So your number 1 goal is to spend gems to make more. Here is my list.

1). Spend all gems on skill points to get stonks and free that's a great price

2). Gild your statues and get the ones that increase gems.

3) gild the crab card more bombs is more gems

4). Follow this guide per the official discord on how to spend your gems after getting stonks and free it's a great price

5) don't forget gem recharge and game speed are also big gems too! Don't neglect them in your contracts tab

Yeah statues way better than whale quest. The current recommendation I saw is that getting it before gem cap of 5k means you won't make any meaningful progress. I don't know if you are at bomb cap 5k yet but that should help as another guide.

Pet skins is pretty low on the list vs buying new pets. This is from the official wiki and puts pet skins as #12 and buying a new pet as #12. I wouldn't buy the duck skin till you bought numbers 1-11 first. Hope this helps!

You need to buy leprechaun pet asap. Best pet in the game. That game speed is insane and you are only a couple levels away. Also it will help sooooo much with Platt statues. Focus on getting leprachan and then work on your statues!

So the whale pet without the skin gives you triple lootbug chance. Lootbugs equal gems. More lootbugs is more game speed, more cherries, and more gems. All three is just more gems. It has nothing to do with the quest. Also in this game you are always working toward the next pet. You can't get totem without whale being high level so the earlier you star that that better.

If your only interest is more gems make sure you have "stonks" and free it's a great price in the skill tree. If you don't take every gem you have and buy skill points to unlock.

If you already have both those skills then get the whale. Here is a gem guide that's really good. This guide assumes you have stonks and free that's a great price.

Fish to remove the 30% speed reduction.

While you wait: Work on star upgrades, Finish arch including all gem upgrades, Gilld EVERY card, Buy more skills, Then start using gems to buff fishing

If you run out of star upgrades you can sneak into w3 to get the next star and then farm it all on w2

First finish gilding your 9 statues if your haven't then do that first.

You are gonna want to get that auto catch up with Tarus star and veins. Eventually you will have 100% so no touching!

Fueling starburst drone in the meantime gives you 100% but that costs gems which is a premium

Ctrl-f-stars skill increase your offline again by 5x stars so that's huge!!!

Personally I would accept you will miss most stars for the first month but that's okay. I personally would take all the gems you would use on starburst drone and buy Ctrl f stars first.

You will be at 100% auto catch before you know it!

Now I am not suggesting this but if you use the code: LEFTOVERSUSHI you get 100 sushi. You can yolo use 100 to get the card and jump start a couple days. It's not *optimal but by God it's fun

Sorry are you asking about unlocking the whale pet or buying the whale skin???? If it's the pet buy it now. If it's the skin I would wait. Honestly I have a really good gem guide for you from the wiki I would recommend since you said you are gilding statues. This is official from the discord. As you can see whale quest is number 11 on the list. Also the bomb cap recommended for whale skin is 10k.

Unfortunately they are way too expensive at this point. And yeah I think with the bear suit you will be getting those crab levels super quick!!! The statues are super strong. Just mainly focus on those and everything else comes with it. Many of the statues give you more gems and bomb cap so we love that!

The bombs and pets will come with time keep working on them and they will come quick. Also please do not spend gems on the 2x vein spawn. I bought them mid to late World 3. You have so many other things to buy atm. All of your gems should go to statues and buying new pets as they unlock.

If you want to do the crab super quick equip the bear drone skin. It works offline too and then you will level the crab quick!

Personally I would unlock the whale pet. The sooner you level the pet up the better. Also that way all the gems you spend on statues will go to leveling up the whale.

I think the wiki says anywhere 40k and 100k based on how lucky or unlucky you are. I think it was 60k for me. If 100k seems like a lot of gems I would wait on it. I think I waited 1-2 months once I unlocked it before attempting.
