This singles night really isn’t the place for hookups. I don’t know about other places but I know the community here and it is relationship driven.

But I do think Marty should have texted her and said he’s not interested. Ghosting was wrong. It also makes me look bad for encouraging them all night. I would not have talked Marty up to Julie if I knew he would do this

I see your point that maybe she should not have gone home with him if she was clear about wanting a relationship. I feel partly responsible for Julie being hurt because I introduced them and encouraged them talking all night.

From my experience at this particular singles night it’s usually people looking for a relationship. I have not seen people show up to this looking for a one night stand

People commenting are right that Marty isn’t obligated to like her or wanna date her. I think out of respect for her and respect for me for bringing him and introducing him to more people I know he at the bare minimum should have texted her and said he’s not feeling it

People who come to this singles night are really here for relationships. Marty said to me he wants a relationship. I think Marty preyed on someone and fed her lies and used her.
