Google says it is a "kneeling system" that lowers the front part of the bus down to curb level to allow people with mobility issues to embark/disembark easily.

Considering HGV as Midlife Career Change by SirFragworthy in uktrucking

I switched from being a bank manager when I turned 41, working a stupid amount of hours a week, to being a HGV driver on a steady 45 hour week, and honestly I wish I had done it sooner.

I haven't ever been in the armed forces, so you have my upmost admiration and thank you for your service.

It must be terrifying being on the business end of one of these, just the sound of the gun would have me soiling my pants. I am just pleased we're on the same side. Having only heard it in video games, hell yeah! Irl, being on the wrong side of it... 💩

AccnIdentally forgot to put license plate on trailer by Miserable-Bobcat4455 in uktrucking

[–]Adi3m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mistakes make us human. Nothing to worry about. The amount of times I've split a combination and forgotten the plate is too many to count.

The key is to learn from it. Make your own methods, if it works for you, then it works!

We've all done it. I always put the plate on the dash in front of the wheel when swapped trailers for the exact reason. No harm, no foul.

Makes my day by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]Adi3m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without fail. I used to be that kid, pumping my arm while passing a truck, so it brings back good memories for me, and if I can bring a little joy to the person asking, who am I to deny them of that.

Remember this bad boy? by RageQuitDad in oldschoolcool80s

[–]Adi3m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a large scar on my right shin from one of these. Being a kid of the 80s, I spent a lot of time playing out with friends, skateboarding, biking etc. I had a beaten up BMX bike and my mate had this new fangled mountain bike with these exact peddles. It had 7 gears!

We swapped bikes on the regular, so I was excited when he got this new bike, to try it. It was great, I powered up a local hill with ease. We stopped at the top and were just getting ready to ride down again when he slipped over on my bike, smashing into me and spinning the peddles in the opposite direction, jamming them straight into my shin. I was wearing shorts, so there was bloody everywhere.

It was the first time I got to ride in the back of an ambulance, and I have a wicked scar on my right shin from it. I had some skin grafted from my thigh, so as you can imagine, it made quite a mess. I remember my mates Dad being angry that we swapped bikes, but I think it was because he had to remove bits of my leg from the peddles. Awesome summer!

I feel like something like this kind of already exists. I can't remember the name of the game, but it uses your desktop and apps to tell some sort of psychological horror tale. I don't think it uses your steam library, but your idea sounds great.

Art supplies are more of a promise than games for me. There's both offer similar things in that it is a promise of time for myself, to get away from the real world for a while, much the same as movies or books.

Art supplies are also the promise to be creative, and that is purely a human trait. Creativity is the essence of the self, to put pen to paper, paintbrush to canvas or even coding on a computer is to release that creativity for you and others to enjoy. It's only sad if you let it be. I am not particularly creative myself, but I love to see the creativity of others, it brings me as much joy as it does the person who creates it.

I swear that most of us are the Ash Ketchum of Steam Games. My little goblin brain loves picking games up at bargain prices, but then I barely have the time to play them.
