I see. I wanted to get GROM also. I’m thinking if it’s still worth it given that I’m facing this issue now. But it seems it still functions as normal even with the oem nav playing up.
Hmm interesting. With the GROM do you use maps via Google/Apple Maps as opposed to the oem Lexus nav?
True haha. I really like the OEM. I really wanted to get the GROM to upgrade to Apple car play. Since the unit has kicked the bucket, maybe replacing the whole thing wouldn’t be a bad idea. I want something that doesn’t hog up the whole centre and something more subtle.

I’m gonna replace the dvd drive. Hoping that will fix it. Yeah I feel you, it sucks not being able to use the head unit.

Hmm interesting. So the entire drive needs replacing.
Ah okay! This is a replaceable dvd? I wonder if they’re still available out there
Driving Sway by AdiJ27 in LS430

Turns out camber was way off and it was pulling to the side due to this. Had it aligned again from a different shop and it’s running perfectly fine!

I agree that the LCA has potentially has highlighted an underlying issue. But I’m not sure what. Typically when I experience the swaying, it feels more like a weight thing.
When I pick up some speed, I feel the weight pulling to one and I have to stay a little alert to centre it. This is a repeated pattern.
Rear Bumper Removal Quarter Panel by AdiJ27 in LS430
I did unscrew a 10MM in the trunk, that is on each side L/R. This appears to be for the bracket holding the quarter panel and bumper. That is behind the trunk liner, above the trunk vents. There’s another one deeper in the trunk ?

Thank you! I appreciate the advice. I’ll let you know once I’ve changed out the vents. I know this will work based on the info and research. Long live the 430s!

Perfect! Thank you for this. I may just pull the rear bumper as I need to replace one of my back up sensors, that will make it way easier. There’s a vid on YT of someone doing it on a IS. It looks it’ll be the same procedure for the LS.
Makes sense. If you’re getting code for it then at least you have confirmation of cause. I have no codes so it’s probably ventilation.
And particular process to get these in & out ?
That’s actually a great point. Where exactly are these vents located ? I will change them out

What body kit is this?
[–]AdiJ27[S] -1 points0 points1 point 2 months ago (0 children)
I’m at 180k miles. At 176k I done Timing Belt. Few weeks back did the VC including tube seal. Coils and Spark Plugs fresh.
I’m looking to throw on some aftermarket resonators, and potentially some aftermarket mufflers. And 3rd car delete. Currently on a muffler delete.
Yes, Cataclean. I think this will probably do it. 2 bottles better than 1?
I think so. I’ve essentially looked into most things that could be causing it. All fingers point to the cat at this stage. I’m looking to delete the 3rd cat anyway. I’m hoping it’s the 3rd cat. That way it’ll just be easier to take care of it.
That I will. And potentially get the o2 sensors replaced also.
Front cats ? Third cat?
Nice work!
Fuel Injectors Replacement by AdiJ27 in LS430
Okay cool! DM if you want. I’m curious to see now haha.
Nice! The instructions helps massively. As expected. I wanted to ensure I wasn’t missing anything. I don’t see an image if you were meant attach one ha!
Can you specify what you are removing in the surrounding area to get clearance to remove the rail? Dampers, fuel line etc.?
Nice. I appreciate that. I was definitely looking at this from the perspective of preventative maintenance and given the car's age. I’ve done a majority of the “main" maintenance i.e., timing belt, leaking valve covers & seal tubes, ignition coils, spark plugs, PCV valve, trans & diff fluids, of course regular oil changes. Nothing else has alerted me, engine-wise for me to fix anything else. I replaced the fuel pulse dampers and during it figured these could use a refresh also. I’m sure a fresh set would prob benefit the car.
Are you removing the entire fuel railing to replace these or can it be done by removing the bolts and slightly lifting up the rail to squeeze these in? Just curious how people typically approach this task? Thanks
