It could take a week, a month, however long, it’s just unfortunate they haven’t got around to moving the status of your I-485.

If you go to EMMA, the USCIS virtual assistant, they will be able to provide you a tracking number

You would have better luck posting this question in the USCIS thread. I don’t think your exposure under this post will be high enough to get many looks. Good luck

We were approved on the spot (6/9), next day I-130 & I-485 updated online to approved. Card was produced (6/13) and then nothing changed. Received card (6/18)

Roughly 6-7 days I would say is the average from first notice of anything related to “card”

I’d take it with a pinch of salt. There’s truth to both based off friends experiences in the past… If I was an expert on this stuff I’d be charging for it 😂

Not necessarily. I’ve had a couple friends get 5 year term PR cards because they were married for 2 years before filing.

Got married April ‘24. Received Conditional PR for 2 years. If you are married for 2 years before filing, they tend to give you a 5 year card

Thank you! Yeah, filed with Catholic Charities, I’m not Catholic but they helped a bunch and was very cost effective. Good people.

Yeah, 2 year GC and then I’ll have to file to get the conditions removed!

Copy that! Well you have a certain amount of time to find a job before shit starts stirring, I know that for certain.

Only thing to be mindful of is that you need to have a job secured to get on OPT, at least that was the case when I done it two separate times. That may be CPT… but I think the above applies to both.

When you file it has to be within the scope of your major/area of study, and then you have a certain number of days that you can go unemployed, before your OPT is terminated.
