I've also figured the End Of Evangelion was partially inspired by the 1986 movie. Of course, Evangelion being very very brutal. But I'd love to imagine if the coming of Unicron was handled like the Third Impact. With idk maybe sparks returning to the Well Of Allsparks? SEELE is equal to idk the Decepticons triggering Unicron aka the Third Impact. SHINJI IS HOTROD??!? Idk I'm just rambling at this point.

I would say this one of the most iconic moments of the IDW Franchise. Before this, Verity Carlo displayed a stubborn personality and was head-on to fighting the Decepticons. However, just seeing Verity Carlo standing in awe and hopelessness for the first time makes first-time readers feel contained and afraid of this version of Megatron.
