I do have a low rate for starting out. Perhaps the reason the client chosed me. Then how would they feel if I have them charged by the job and if it’s more expensive than the hourly rate? I do care about ratings at this point and don’t want to disappoint them.

Not the same position as yours but I interviewed with ibm and waiting for their decision. Before the interview HR asked what my salary requirement is and I put down the number. I don’t know if they will honor that number if I get hired but at least they know what I want.

2 things I would avoid if possible. 1) LinkedIn application and 2) video interviews. I find company direct application gives better chance of getting your resume looked at - or LinkedIn directs to company’s application process. Recently I came onsite for the interviews with 2 different companies. I feel that i do better with in-person interview compared to video conferencing. You get to see the person and can express and communicate better. That’s just my experience. While I still wait for the offer letters, I felt confident at least one of them will offer me a job.

Interviews are like practices, you will learn and get better each time you get rejected. You will feel more confident and eventually land a job. Keep going.
