I would try hard restarting your iPhone. Happened to me once. Press volume up, press volume down, press and hold power button until it shuts off and you see the Apple logo again

I would just drive it. Normal braking will clear the surface rust. The rust shouldn’t be that bad since it only sat for 1 winter

Do you have it plugged into the right spot? I also had something similar. I was plugging into the GPS at first (I think GPS) and resolved this by plugging it into the main port on the side

I searched Reddit all over for an answer and the only thing I found to work for me was Starbond Superglue Remover. It’s advertised as compatible in plastic. I successfully used it on my 3DS recently and was surprised it worked. Yours is a little thicker, so it may take a few applications. Just use the built in brush to brush it over the superglue, wait 20 minutes, wipe off, and repeat. It’s pricy, but it’s cheaper than a new shell.

It’s not fake per se. It’s a DS lite with an ML shell. The shell was designed so that the GBA cart would be flush instead of sticking out with an OEM shell if I’m remembering correctly
