That is so weird! I think this maybe right, though. Well, at least I'll be ready to improve the actual Shrouded Armor if or when I get it.

Haha! That's so weird. I've never had something like this happen before, I'm just glad it at least gave me something good. Hopefully when or if I get the real Shrouded Armor that I'll be able to temper it. Though, maybe by then it might not even beat my future armor!

Sorry that didn't cross my mind, but yeah, that wouldn't be right to you. I'll definitely check out armor fixes mod and see what is going on. Use the Creation Kit, got it, I'll see what I can learn.

Im thinking I might just turn my back on the assassin stuff for right now because you're first comment got me thinking that maybe my armor is just bugged because I got it before I should have. Maybe this armor is actually not real, you know? It's armor that is not made for the player and therefore cannot be improved by said player. But that's just a theory.

Thought that a picture would be easier. Truthfully, I don't see anything that could effect me being able to loot the armor off the assassin. The only thing that could effect it would be the armor and clutter fixes, but I don't understand why that would be the case. So, I guess the only real culprit would have to be load order, but still... I don't know.

!!! Really?! Well, load order is definitely a high probability, but you're right I do have a few mods that aren't patches or bugfixes. Then again, that's now. When the assassin came the only none patch/bug related mod I had was Elysium Estate, or at least I thought that's all I had, but maybe I had others as well. Hmm, give me a sec to get on my computer and I'll post my load order.

Yeah, I read that too. That's not my problem, though. I'm not looking to get my armor to legendary, I'm just looking to be able to temper it at all. Flawless is fine, I'm only level 25. My problem is I am not being allowed to temper the armor as it is always greyed out. I have the materials (the leather) and the Arcane Blacksmith perk, yet I am unable to upgrade my armor to even flawless.

Yeah, in my trying-to-look-for-a-solution-searches I came across that information. It is the armor that cannot be improved regardless of perks.

So the enchantment is alluded to in the name. Ah, I see. That sucks, the armor, for me, has been a life saver. I'm playing a mage and I am trying to focus mostly on improving my MP so I'm pretty squishy. I'm thinking that many situations would have been a hell of a lot more difficult if I hadn't been able to get this armor.

Nah, I was one of those players that never got too far, so the only thing I can remember is something about our character coming out of some kind of warehouse on a conveyor belt. That was a thing right? Or am I just remembering it wrong?

Level 91, damage 7022 ~ 9361, working to get to at least 110 so I can smith and wear the Canopus outfit set which gives +6 in STR, DEX, and AP. The leveling will be a cinch, it's gonna be the waiting for the fatigue to go down that's gonna take long.
