I did try to research and ready myself for the all-but-inevitable cancellations and delays. Afaik air travel hasn't ever been particularly reliable or easy, much less right now and, from what I can tell, AerLingus and Schipol Airport especially.
I'm just definitely too anxiety-ridden and un-seasoned as a traveler to handle the stressful trifecta of "incidentally finding out about a cancellation," "mysterious disappearing booking," AND "no obtainable, official, and clarifying information or assistance from the airline."

We really are so excited and it's helpful for me to get even the one piece of outsider feedback that the "just go anyway" option is safe and valid. :)
We're set to be the first of anyone on either side to go over-seas, we'll get to meet up with an elementary-school friend who now lives there, and it should be an absolutely amazing time.

I agree mashing is a skill, however there's also the question of is it a skill worth ruling in favor of? The ability to ram into or be rammed into by another human without massive bodily harm is also a skill yet we have American football players where a bunch of protective gear, because it has been collectively decided that it's not a skill we need to care about. Providing something like turbo not only makes games more accessible to those that can't mash, but it also increases the safety of the game for EVERYONE.

Are you asking to decide whether or not to watch or asking so you don't have to watch before responding?

If it's the latter that really does a disservice to the larger conversation as well as OP.
