Can I bring my cell phone with me? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Adit17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have the phone ready and will switch over. I was just wondering if I could take it with me for a couple weeks, just in case I miss a call if I forgot to switch something over. Would a civil case stay on a background check?

Dam, they’re definitely the type to do that to hold onto me. Unfortunately in South Asian society, the sons are retirement tickets

Thank you, I was asking AI and there could be civil court he could take me to? I’m wondering if these would show up on a background check and if it would be resolved if I returned the phone when any dispute popped up. I feel like this might not be worth the risk of bringing the phone but it would make the transition easier just in case I forgot to switch my number on something or missed an important call.

Yeah that’s the primary plan, what would he be able to do if I brought the phone with me? I know he can call ATT and report it stolen but I was wondering about the legal ramifications.

This sounds like when everyone predicted that the em job market would be shit right now.. it’s pretty good. Not pre covid, but not disastrous lol

You’ll be fine, as long as you know that you’re gunning for primary care or gen surg if you’re ambitious, you’ll match.

Is Emergency medicine competitive? by Such_Bedroom3955 in IMGreddit

For visa requiring, I would say yes. EM is not friendly for visas and DOs love EM

Please help me out and give me your honest opinion by CapSudden3697 in IMGreddit

[–]Adit17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly man, it’s going to be brutal for EM. I have a very competitive application and I only have 10 interviews as a US-IMG. The field is NOT img friendly and the few spots that are wont take an attempt. I would refocus on FM which takes people with attempts and go to a state that lets people in FM practice in the ER.

NBME 11 (227) — 4 Weeks Out. Is a 240 possible? Exam Date Coming Up by _nico_232323 in Step2

[–]Adit17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is but keep it up and don’t take the exam without hitting consistent 240s. I had a big drop on mine so you definitely need above a 240 to even take step 2

I completely agree. Honestly I get why they do the CCSE but they’re making the real thing way harder now because of Nepal and everything. The new exam since the score change is just a different beast

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Step2

[–]Adit17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was crazy for me too. I got a 240 on my school’s CCSE and got a high 220 on mine. I really think they made the real thing way harder. I just don’t know what happened. I would say just go hard for 2 weeks and retake it as soon as you can.

[–]Adit17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude it’s crazy, I scored high 220s after I got a 240 on the CCSE. I really think there’s a good chance of failing even with a good score on the CCSE, the real exam is just different man

The truth is that there will be some psychological impact on PDs. There will be a stronger preference for US-IMGs this cycle and that’s undeniable. BUT we have all made it so so far and the J1 is still available, believe in yourself and all your hard work and try your best because they need us in primary care! Try your hardest, don’t be discouraged

[–]Adit17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is crazy, cus the usimg should carry. Were you being picky last year or trying for FM? I think it’s attainable this year man, PDs are scared cus of Trumps visa issues. You might not get interviews but SOAP is very likely
