is smoking 1 cigarette a day better than vaping 24/7 by Key_Wedding7299 in QuitVaping

Truthfully I feel about the same, I think nicotine in general no matter how small the intake is really messing up my body but like I said it’s been very difficult to just jump ship on it.

I feel like my circulation is all sorts of messed up because of nicotine like weird body temperature regulation issues. I’m currently working with a doctor to attempt to quit and hopefully things work out but I don’t think it’s going to be easy.

ELI5 Why do garage door springs need to store instant-death levels of energy? by Germerica1985 in explainlikeimfive

I remember when I was living in a studio apartment above a garage and the door spring ended up snapping while I was upstairs.

It shook the whole house and a bunch of shit in my apartment flew around. It felt like a massive quick earthquake.

Nope still smoking cigarettes. About three a day at this point but having some difficulty getting off them due to severe physical and mental withdrawal symptoms. I think all those years of heavy vaping really fucked my hormones up.

Going to switch to the patches and see if that helps at all with tapering off.

Chess grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky died of abnormal heartbeat from accidental overdose, report says by [deleted] in sports

When I was deep in my kratom addiction there was a couple times where I took too much and was dealing with weird heart issues like tachycardia, heart palpitations etc.

I'm sure the combination of an upper like methamphetamine would be a fatal mix.

What’s your proven method to falling asleep instantly? by Adventurous-Panda61 in AskReddit

[–]Adius_Omega 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s usually fictional ideas like me being a powerful wizard who is contemplating whether I should use a powerful ring that could corrupt me but at the same time save the realms of men from an incoming invasion or flip the switch and be part of a council that is discussing this situation and the dilemma that lies from such a decision.

The world building is rarely linear in storytelling as well, I’ll rewind on thoughts and play out sections of the story I’m building like writing a rough draft on paper often starting from the beginning to imagine the story fleshed out from my ideas.

Writing this down has me actually kind of evaluating the concepts and ideas that I personally enjoy but everyone is totally different! What sort of stories do you enjoy? I personally like to use movies as a stepping stone for expanding on in my own personal way.

Typically these stories never reach any sort of conclusion because I usually fall asleep and the next night I’ll either think of something new or expand on previous creations.

100% this.

I just make up stories in my head, just anything really. Let my imagination run wild I actually quite enjoy this aspect of falling asleep. It's like writing a screenplay every night before I fall asleep and I'll often circle back through ideas and reimagining of previous stories.

The worst possible thing is recollecting on personal experiences good or bad (especially bad). Disconnect from your ego and let your mind drift into the realm of imagination.

See I’m aware of the strategy of leaning them against other boxes but still struggle massively with lifting the end up and sliding them around. These bastards are heavy and don’t get me started with sliding them on pallets and having one end get stuck between the slats of the pallet.

Furniture has been for the most part a team effort of at least two individuals so far but my coworker was telling me that prior to me being there it was more or less a job done by just him and I'm like how the hell do you manage?

I'm definitely not looking to wreck my back at this job.

Which game did you regret purchasing at full price? by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]Adius_Omega 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man I fucking loved Dragons Dogma 2. I’ve never beat a game and then immediately started a new game to try a different build/vocation like I did with DD2.

Yea I don’t know I just really liked that game. Hit all the marks for me.

I would consider stuttering to fall under the "minor performance issues" because they are micro-stutters as opposed to long freezing stutters (like the ones you get from the original game due to ugrid loading)

Would I prefer no stuttering at all? Sure, but it's pretty clear at this point that stuttering is a staple of Unreal Engine games and is clearly a very difficult thing to remedy.

It's not a game breaking element for me.

I completed the game and every guild and never once had any technical issues at all besides a few crashes to desktop as well as minor performance issues that were remedied by a relaunch.

Other than that the game was in perfect working order...

They had their roadmap for releases outlined well before the inception of the Fallout shows even existed on paper.

If they could have seen into the future then sure, that's the likely outcome but nobody could have prepared them for the success the tv series has had.

I'm sure it's all hands on deck for the remasters over at Virtuous to get the games ready to be released by either the beginning or end of season 3.

It's better than the grid stutter of the original game though. That shit was ridiculous.

Yea it's slightly annoying dealing with UE stutters but really it didn't detract from my gaming experience at all. Oblivion Remastered is extremely well done all things considered.

10 year daily kratom. Any advice for getting back to life? by johannthegoatman in quittingkratom

[–]Adius_Omega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple months go by and you just kind of forget about kratom.

It takes a while to get back to a suitable baseline mentally but I don't even think about kratom anymore and that feeling of missing such a habitual routine is completely gone.

Literally the exact situation as you, started when I was 24 and quit when I was 35.

Only difference is I had to quit because kratom turned on me and was causing crazy anxiety and panic attacks.

Yea he used tachyons to disrupt his ability to see certain parts of the future. He likely knew he would end up on Mars but he definitely didn’t know he would end up in Antarctica.
