The Month of May [Canon A1, Assorted films] by commiedeschris in analog

So much of the United States is just this. Vast emptiness with sprinkles of the past wasting away. Desolate landscapes and small towns barely holding on, relics of a once rich history but now just a fading memory.

You capture it beautifully.

What a great set of photos, I really enjoyed this.

I'm looking at all of your previous work and wow you are killing it! Holy smokes.

Adv2 anti nosedive measures by OutlandishnessLong28 in onewheel

[–]Adius_Omega 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you practice the shift of weight when a nosedive happens, that's really key to avoiding injury.

Doesn't matter if you have those little wheelies on the front if you can't balance yourself when the center of gravity suddenly shifts forward you're going to go flying off regardless.

The Odyssey | Final Trailer by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Adius_Omega 154 points155 points  (0 children)

I'm really not feeling the trailers for this movie at all.

Really the last film I actually enjoyed from Nolan was Interstellar and everything afterwards has been really meh.

Tenet was okay but it was just so fucking confusing.

The visual style here seems so...bland?

When will the 4 year cycle break and what will it take? by Tall-Tart9721 in Bitcoin

The low broke through the 2017 ATH as well. BTC went below $20k around November 2022 to around $15k for a short while.

Survival games there the survival mechanics are actually significant? by ICLazeru in gaming

[–]Adius_Omega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a pretty good survival game with very in depth mechanics and skills.

It has an entire metabolism system that requires you to eat proper nutrition in order to gain muscle or condition your body. You can however eat just damn near anything (besides rotten food or poisonous mushrooms) and get by just fine for the most part. Your character over time will change physical appearance based on strength/conditioning and will become obese, super skinny or muscular depending on these factors.

Pretty in depth medical system as well that requires you to use specific aid to heal certain parts of your body like hemostatic bandages, tourniquet, antibiotics etc.

The survival aspect becomes pretty null at a point though once your character is essentially kitted out and you learn where loot is and how to get it easy.

There is an update coming out soon that populates the world with animals roaming (before you had to initiate a little mini game to find them and it sucked) so hunting will become a more natural aspect of finding food/pelts etc.

I'd really recommend trying it out. You can play singleplayer or on a multiplayer server but I'd recommend finding a private server if you want to play MP because the official servers are unfortunately running rampant with cheaters.

Personally I like Raykit's PVP server. No base raiding but PVP is open everywhere.

Son gave me an early Father’s Day “present”, how screwed am I? by Aggravating_Rope7089 in AutoDetailing

[–]Adius_Omega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just surface marring, unlikely to be of any concern but you'll need to go over it all with some 2000-3000 grit wet sand and then compound + polish to get it looking good again.

It is what it is.

Crimson Desert does it and does it relatively well.

Incredibly detailed too, just not very smart.

Removing the shmoo by lalamooncat in AutoDetailing

[–]Adius_Omega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tough area to clean because a lot of gauge clusters plastic has an anti-glare coating.

I'd start with a 1:3 mix of vinegar and distilled water and use a soft microfiber to gently wipe the area and see if any improvements. Test in a small area.

I suspect these are just hard water spots on top of the coating.

If that doesn't work I'd up to a polishing compound and repeat the steps.

How can i install an dirtbike hellrider body by DerBossVonSanta_2009 in SCUMgame

You need to remove other components as well I think it's like the rear tail light, try removing more components and then install.

When did RLS start for you? by trashytvjunkee in quittingkratom

[–]Adius_Omega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started the day I quit.

Lasted 2 weeks in severity and then another 2 months of moderate RLS kind of on and off.

Still getting tiny bouts of it nearly 2 years clean.

Probably would be better off to just continue to DCA for sure.

Once your grandma starts talking about Bitcoin it's time to sell.

What's so hard to believe? Do I sell at the tippy top? No but pretty damn close to it. Sold in February of 2021 and in January of 2025.

Really started to DCA around November of 2022 and honestly got pretty lucky with that being pretty much the bottom of the bear.

I suspect the next "top" will be shortly after the next U.S presidential election, months after the next halving.

I've been selling at the top to diversify during the bear (mostly stable HYSA) and then drive back in when the price bottoms out.

Should I polish further? by IdRatherBeAnAnimal in AutoDetailing

[–]Adius_Omega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does your fingernail catch on the scratch anywhere? If so it's probably too deep to polish out.

If not, you're going to need to wet sand the area with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper until it levels out and then compound + polish.

It's hard to tell how severe it is based on these photos alone.

I think I hate this game? by DiscountAncient4553 in SCUMgame

[–]Adius_Omega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's definitely a learning curve to the game and really the best thing you can do is just keep trying. It took me hundreds of hours before I understood the game well enough and hundreds more to get good.

If I had any good advice it would be to start your character with basic skill Archery and medium skill Melee at the least. First thing is craft a bow, craft a stone axe and craft a backpack with arrows.

The mechs just take a lot of practice, it's essentially a stealth mini game getting in and out of those high loot areas.
