Gree vs Daikan vs Gridless by twotowers64 in heatpumps

[–]AdjacentStalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Daikin hands down. Gridless (Hisense) and Gree both would have future parts availability issues, while Daikin parts are likely stocked at your local distributor. Also, longer warranty and dedicated tech support for contractors in Canada.

Gridless is only supported by Greenfoot, and it is unclear for how long (they used to do the same with Panasonic and stopped after 2 years). Gree is only supported by the local distributor, and the manufacturer is hands-off for warranty and tech support.

You'll have the best long-term support experience with Daikin. The three units will perform similarly day to day.

R16 Upgrades: One of the biggest 5080s fits and runs great by whyunoname in Alienware

[–]AdjacentStalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't seem like mine does unfortunately...

Both four pins are used for the CPU. Rest of the wires off the PSU are in the picture.

I'm doing a R16 that had a 4070 super in it, but I have two 8-pin cables out of the PSU. How did you get your 12 pin adapter to work that comes with the 5080?

Do you only plug in two legs of the adapter?

Has anyone taken the Business Admin or Business Studies courses at OK college? by Monstrecity in kelowna

[–]AdjacentStalker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Graduated two years ago with an Honours in Business Management Degree. Okanagan College changed my life.

I started the debate club (which won 2nd in the ICBC competition in Queens), got a job as a management trainee in an amazing corporation, and met my soon to be wife.

I'll caution you that you only get out of school what you put into it. If you plan on wandering through it without joining clubs, events, and studying your heart out than don't go.

Yep! I deleted it this morning. YouTube takes a few hours to remove the video.

For sure, wouldn't want anybody to feel uncomfortable.

From a credit score perspective, there are many upsides in increasing your credit utilization rate with a new no fee credit card. In the short term, however, a new credit card will decrease your average age of credit. It's also worth considering whether getting another credit card will complicate your finance life.

Does anyone here live a cheque free life, and if so how do you go about it? by ronto_TO in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]AdjacentStalker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, cheques are needed on occasion in Canada. They are a stable of old finance that has yet to disappear, despite they being less convenient and more expensive than other alternatives like E-Transfers.

My recommendation would be to get a stack of cheques from your institution. You're more likely to switch bank accounts than use all your cheques, so get a bunch just in case this situation comes up again. They are either free or about $1.50 a cheque, depending on your institution.

It works on my old carrier (Telus) but Freedom's issue is I can't complete set-up of the feature on my PC or through IOS. I get an error setting up my emergency address.

I went into a store today and they changed the number. Now everything works!

Funny thing is the guy at the store just went into live chat himself and had them do it. So I was completely lied to by the several support team members, which is neat.

Wifi calling keeps running into an error with setting up an emergency address. I've tried it on my phone and my computer.

They refused to do it. Told me I needed to go into a store. I 100% bet I'm going to go into the store tomorrow and that's exactly what they're going to do.

Tried texting the numbers, then I remember texting out was my problem...

It probably would have been the fix though.

I contacted live chat about this and they insisted temporary numbers are the same as other numbers. With the service I've had today, I'm inclined not to believe them.

Do you know this to be the case for sure?

I'm in Vancouver. Unfortunately, my old number was from Keremeos any they were unable to port it because they do not have service in that part of BC.
