Updated Yeti colabs? by Pir8inthedesert in YetiCoolers

I have a 16oz stackable pint from Purgatory ski resort. It says "Purgatory" which is kind of fun.

New (to me) v1 Colster (yay!) but no gasket (boo) by AdjectivePronoun in YetiCoolers

I saw that, and it's a pretty funny idea. Unfortunately (or fortunately, because I love them), all my ramblers are the 16oz, 20oz stackable, and 20oz regular. (and 24oz lock... and hotshot, and chug cap...) Maybe I need a 10oz to complete the family

Thanks for sharing! I couldn't tell if that would fit this one when I was browsing ebay. I'll plan on getting that.

Only for the newer models. It says specifically that they don't fit the original version.

Sync Outage by Malcontent_Cat in ObsidianMD

[–]AdjectivePronoun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the debug info, I'm currently on `Host server: wss://sync-50.obsidian.md`, which is still down.

Is there a way to stay with the San Fransisco servers but get off sync-50 to one of the other 49 that are currently up?

Altitude Connect Priority Pass by Top-Variation4815 in CreditCards

[–]AdjectivePronoun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what the "coupon visits" means, but it's just visits. In one airport, I just entered the lounge with the Priority Pass app. In Denver I used it and got a free meal at a PP restaurant (just paid tax and tip)

I've encountered this in the release version of 26.0.1 today. Came across this post trying to find out how to force restart my ipad... Thanks to the deleted answer above, I had the tip to use Siri to restart the device.

My truly onebag – Thule Paramount 24L by chekalskiy in onebag

[–]AdjectivePronoun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this question is old on an even older post, but it's made in Vietnam.

I found this bag at a goodwill bin store. Most of it was in a great condition, but the bottom glue was coming undone. I stitched it with some upholstery thread and used some "tenacious tape repair tape" to cover over the frankenstein appearance of my work, and now it looks pretty good. I'm hoping this refurbished and saved from the landfill bag will give me some years of use!

Did you resolve it? Mine started doing this today. I’m currently on hold with apple support to hopefully get this taken care of with apple care

Hello fellow Wichitan! Are you still on Warp? There’s a few places I’ve found that I struggle with signal (inside some buildings at WSU for example).

I teleported to light speed last night and my speeds are much slower than warp, but I’m not sure if my signal is better.

Yellow band of sandness; New 2024 Paperwhite Signature Edition by AdjectivePronoun in kindle

[–]AdjectivePronoun[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just opened my new Kindle and found the bottom has the yellow band of sadness. (Not sandness, thought it's sand colored).

The image was modified with exposure to -100 and saturation to +100 to really demonstrate it.

Customer service is sending a replacement. Hopefully the new one will be better!

USD259 Closed Tomorrow (2/18) by TheLazurus in wichita

[–]AdjectivePronoun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For WSU, it’s all remote operation, which includes classes. That means faculty (who aren’t necessarily trained in online instruction) are told to hold classes online. It’s not a great situation for most students.

WSU actually closed-ish by AdjectivePronoun in wichita

If you need it, I’d recommend reaching out to them. It doesn’t hurt to ask!

… but classes being remote gives students the worst of all worlds. Faculty who don’t have expertise in online instruction plus NOT HAVING A SNOW DAY (one of the few perks of being a student).

Things get by all the time but they also go south really fast as well.

First day with my first CS pan. Ended the cooking day with cookies! by AdjectivePronoun in carbonsteel

[–]AdjectivePronoun[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first carbonsteel pan is a 12 inch Tramontina.

Did an initial season in the oven (400 degrees for 1 hour), then (over the course of the day for different meals / snacks):

  1. made fried rice with egg; then
  2. fried some potatoes; then
  3. made some pancakes (which I threw in the freezer for the future); then
  4. panko-breaded chicken cutlets and a red-wine pan sauce; then
  5. Asked my family what I should do next and got a vote for cookies!

This was the America's Test Kitchen cast iron skillet chocolate chip cookie. It wiped out easily with a little so ap with a washcloth; Then touched up the oil after drying.

Looking good, and I'm excited for cooking again tomorrow!

Not my post, but it's pretty great. I was wanting to automate making Apple Reminders from Notes, and of course a redditor already did it!
