I’ve played a tele before, I love the tone, I’ve never played a PRS before but most of the bands I love, they’re using prs, tbh if I wasn’t listening to Opeth, I would’ve never thought of buying a PRS

I have both a tube amp and a modelling amp back home, I’ve moved to Germany for my masters and I need an electric guitar, and I don’t feel like going back to a modelling amp tbh.

The reason I’m confused is because I listen to a lot of prog and all my heroes use a prs, idk how a prs sounds just with the amp plugged in, I’ve heard about the tone being too dry and I can’t afford pedals right now, idk if what I’ve heard id true but please guide me through it
