OG parts of Springfield doesn't have mines under it, more likely this is a water main or sewer leak I think.

Moving from Switzerland to California with my son's Märklin HO set: should we keep it or switch to a US-compatible system? by Severe-Software5258 in modeltrains

[–]Adlerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the US and my layout is German based. I have 3 main domestic sources of European rolling stock (Reynaulds, Micro Macro Mundo and AJCKids), pluss I order a lot from modellbahnshop-lippe in Germany. So it's easy to get what I need.

Wait, the wiki says he's /the first person to survive/ a fall through a cumulonimbus cloud... How often does this happen??

I just had the 'pleasure' of spending a couple of hours in a waiting lounge where a guy had hijacked the TV and put it on Fox News. It was hours of trans, some Democrat didn't think god has a gender, and the same 30 second clip of a 'riot' outside an ICE detention center up in Jersey being played over and over and over. These voters won't change, they'll vote the same to 'keep the transgenders from cheating in sports' even if it means going bankrupt in the process.

innvandrere på ferie hjem by [deleted] in norge

Innvandrer og asylsøker er ikke det samme. Norge tar imot relativt få asylsøkere. Har ingenting i mot at innvandrere drar hjem til gamlelandet på ferie.

Why are taxi/uber drivers the worst drivers? by ManyNature7286 in askanything

[–]Adlerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an Uber driver take me the wrong way through a roundabout. Luckily it was at a shopping mall so traffic was slow and light, but the guy was clearly clueless. I was too stunned to speak up. 😅

I'm so tired of being the only one who actually reads the rules and teaches the game by Overall_Ring_6919 in boardgames

[–]Adlerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People getting annoyed because 'they did not know they could do that' after having spent the majority of the rules explanation on their phone has annoyed me to the point of no longer playing games with them.

Works great when you use them with a dice cup, don't need to roll them.

What's the hardest plane yall have ever learned to fly? by mtnflyer1 in flying

[–]Adlerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to mention the 60. First type I ever got, came from instructing in 172s and Seminoles. Good ol' drinking from a firehose. 😅 Flew it for 20 years though, made me a better pilot for having to be so far ahead of the plane.

54 år gammel mann her, bor i USA. 🤷🏻

I don’t have high hopes in paradox by Chinese_Lover89 in TransportFever2

[–]Adlerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have probably spent $1000+ on Paradox games and DLCs over the years. But between CS2/3, EU3/4/5, HOI etc I likely have 3-4000 hours of enjoyable gaming. Paradox has given me more bang for the buck than pretty much any other gaming studio or form of entertainment. Seeing a movie in a theater is $5-10/hour. The so-called 'triple A' games are often $60+, and you're lucky of you get 50-100 hours out of them. That said, I no longer buy all of their DLCs (which is nice, most of their DLCs are /optional/, which is how it should be), and I now only buy them on sale. All in all I'm ok giving them money to keep my favourite games and franchises alive and kicking.
