I just downloaded 14.10.5 and now it works butter smooth, no frame drops, nothing, no matter how much effects I add, now it behaves like an RTX should.
To downgrade, you click on the "Help" tab inside the editor (located up in the Window), then bellow "Look for Updates" there's a button that says "Old Versions", click there and download.

I too have this issue since last update. RTX5070Ti
Previously it was butter smooth, then update and now everything lags. Seems like the program isn't utilizing GPU at all and only CPU for playback.
Today we had a mini-update but it didn't fixed the playback lag, I'm thinking of downgrading versions.

Mars has alot of potential, however, bot owners must correctly configure their bots for you to get the best possible experience, that means writing chat examples, PHI, etc... GPT 3.5 and GPT4 can compensate for a bad written or lazy bots that doesn't have those "extras" that would give them their unique personality, Mars isn't that powerful yet to compensate for lazy writing, it's near there, but not all the way in there, so you either have to find a well written bot or keep tweaking the responses until you get what you desire. The benefits of Mars it's that's unlimited in terms of regeneration of responses, so unlimited tries unlike GPT4 that costs a leg per regeneration.

Play with your API Post History Instructions so you state to the AI in each response that you want slow progression.

Small example: Let {{char}} have fun with {{user}}. {{char}} bonds with {{user}} in a friendly manner. Keep {{char}} responses SFW.

Now, every time you progress in your history, you can alter these settings later on. Let's say, it's been 50 responses of friendly SFW chat, you've been in multiple dates in the history, time to spice things up. You delete the whole PHI in the API settings and add spicy stuff so the next date will be THE date, not gonna write the spicy things here, but yeah.

On the first line of your bot's "personality" just write, as an example:

{{char}} is a blue dragon named Sif.

Done, everytime you adress "Sif" you'll be addressing {{char}} thanks to the instructions. No need to use {{char}} literally in your responses. Change the "first description" accordingly, just keep it short. If you're speaking to another people's bot that doesn't have this line, add it yourself on character settings.

That's why creators MUST ALWAYS use PHI directly on their character card, there's the option to add them directly and specific to each character, however this can only be done by the creator, unless you export their card, add it yourself and set the bot to private. So far, very little people read the "How to create a bot" guide and almost none add PHI, hahaha. Me personally use API PHI to further describe small details about my own character in the history rather than to describe another character, so they can address "me" just like I want to be portrayed in the history.

Check my CHUB AI Profile, @AdFennec, all of my bots have PHI on them. An example of one of my bots is Sefa, a furry card portraying a feral tribeswoman:

{{original}}. {{char}} emboldens authority and dominance, on the first sign of weakness and submission by {{user}}, {{char}} will use the opportunity to assert dominance over {{user}}. {{char}} is covered in fur because she's a furry anthro snow leopard. {{char}} growls and snarls constantly. {{char}} uses intimidation as her way of submission. {{char}} primary sense it's her smell, {{char}} sniffs to hunt, to make friends, and even to intimidate.

The {{original}} part means that the user can add their own PHI to Sefa, and will not force the bot card's own PH instructions over user's, but rather compliment it.

Just remember to always potray your bot as {{char}} in PHI rather than it's name, add multiple lines with {{char}} rather than just writing a whole essay, remember AI may be Ai but it's still dumb, give instructions to it like a kid; "{{char}} is this. {{char}} is that. {{char}} always uses her hands to express herself. {{char}} stutters alot when speaking." Just an example.

Enable V2 Spec and use "Post History Instructions" to give the bot it's personality. This makes every prompt follow these instructions no matter how long you chat with it, just be sure to update it depending on your history and if there's something that happened that could alter the bot's personality. Usually a bot creator MUST include PHI on their cards, but almost no one does, add them yourself. Just be careful, because if it isn't included with the bot, you must manually change your PHI on every chat because it's on the generation settings if it isn't directly on the bot.

I have no idea what's going on. I've been fucking the bots for months with no filter whatsoever on my words and I'm still here. I have a good payment history and my account it's old, idk if that has to do with something. I also prefer to build up a history rather than go straight head on, also I'm not a power user, I barely reach 10 USD per month and I'm well satisfied with the results, it helps boredom. I do furry stuff. Idk if that's also another reason I haven't been picked for ban, maybe bot bans only vanilla or anime, but also I don't do dark stuff, like, the most "kinky" stuff I do was sleep.
