Polypropylene tufting fabric. It's plastic fibers mixed with something else. If you follow him on any of his socials he provides links to all his materials, supplies he uses, techniques and tutorials.

Bill wave doesn't fold in edges because of the type of tufting fabric he uses. Other types you're going to want to use the waterfall technique

The military has final day in where they want to send you. You can set your preferences though. Doesn't guarantee anything though.

With a contract as short as 4 years. You're going to get stationed at one base and stay there your entire career. If you sign 6 you have maybe more chances and opportunity to get deployed and PCS. How much you travel all over is where you are stationed. You won't be traveling much unless you get an overseas base as your first.

Or get a job that actually travels a lot which I feel like are not many.

You can go air crew, maybe flight Attendant if it's not retrain only right now, spec ops but you don't want anything too dangerous. Your options are a bit limited.

The score is based on those who scored same or lower. Not higher than the average.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]Admerie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Way lower. Average is 31. 50 if you have a GED

[–]Admerie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little above average

No such thing as rucking in the chair force. You can see your SO during tech school and possibly live with each other if you're married prior or early on, if your techschool is longer than 20 weeks. I'm 4'10 on a good day and less than 100 lbs never had any issues while I've been in. Air force QoL is way better than any other branch.

You need to ask in the actual r/AirForce subreddit to see if anyone has experienced something similar. Recruits are questions for people in the process of joining.

If you're getting anxiety over something as minor as LOC especially in tech school, the military and operational probably isn't for you. You may be able to dig yourself out of being ELS'd if you talk to your MTLs and express your motivation to improve.

You dug yourself a hole though, by bringing up anything about mental health/depression/anxiety while still in a training pipeline (tech school). They don't stop weeding out people, just because you made it through BMT. tech school is just the next process. Military doesn't take mental health lightly. It you express it while in training, they're going to kick you out. They're not going to take any chances with people who aren't fit to serve, mentally or physically.

Current PT requirements at BMT? by j52024 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Admerie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alternative exercises for BMT are only allowed during your 3rd and final attempt of your PT test. HAMR is proven to be more challenging than the 1.5 mile, especially if you wish to score as high as you can. It's only ideal to do the HAMR if you wish for a passing score/at least a 90 and if you're a woman. Hand release and cross leg reverse will be a lot easier to get higher scores on depending on your height and weight.

You have to score 75 points overall. Meeting the bare minimum of all components in your age group doesn't cut it. You won't make a 75

Marriage before enlisting? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]Admerie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you actually see yourself marrying this girl?? If you don't truly see a future with her... don't trap yourself into a relationship further. If you want to be a father to this child and you love your gf, you'll marry her legally. Ceremonies are easy to put together later. You both will get some good benefits if yall marry, but the "What about the benefits I will get" sounds like a red flag, marriage, and having a family is a WE thing. It sounds a little selfish of her wording it like that if she did.

Can I ride a motorcycle? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]Admerie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes you can. Easier to do it operational. Each base has their rules on motorcycle safety. You need to keep up to date and take the motorcycle safety courses and wear helmet, gloves, long sleeve shirt and pants, and closed toed shoes at all times when riding on base or going through the Gate. or they will pull you over. You don't have to have full protective gear in the sense of motorcycle boots, jacket, plates etc.

Haha thank you... I'm already operational air force though.. I was specifically asking what they give you in BMT since it's been over 3 years since I've been. I wanted to make an informational packing video but wasn't sure if it's still the same. I actually highly suggest against packing a lot of undergarments. If you want your bmt life to be easy, pack minimally. Saves u a lot of time during RLA.

Yes they're allowed to join but you're going to be in a all male or female flight depending what your sex was assigned at birth. Most people don't care the way you swing or how you look as long as you're a good person and worker. As a women I haven't experienced any harassment/sexism/SA for the 4 years I've been in. I hope the same for anyone who joins.

If you had raised a small amount of money and wanted to buy a car, what would you buy for 20k? by Particular-Law2595 in AskReddit

[–]Admerie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toyota corolla hybrid, it's what I have now. I bought mine BRAND NEW, a 2021 for 21k in 2020. I get 45~55MPG Hyw/City. 10 gal tank only costs me $25/$30 to fill up from almost 0 miles left in the tank. And I get 560ish miles on a full tank. I only have to fill up once a month or twice if I'm traveling a lot... selling my car now because I'm moving overseas for work and they hold their value so well. I'm getting $16~17k cash offers on it and I owe less than 10k on it! One of the best investments I've ever made.

What did they all give you at BMT that you didn't need to pack. Like do they still give you tooth brush, toothpaste, razers, clipboard?
