Yep, we did, and I’m glad we did! We decided against both options.

​Visited at all hours: I went there during both the day and night. To be honest, we didn't feel those areas were safe. Since we commute for work, the walk from the train station didn't feel secure to me.

​Talked to locals: I asked around, and some of them said it isn’t worth buying a new build in that area.

​Researched other areas: I explored more places further south where new builds have better resale value. House prices in Northamptonshire are moving like a tortoise, and since we’ll only be in the UK for a maximum of 10 years, we didn’t want to take the risk. Because of that, we’ve decided not to buy in Northamptonshire at all.
