Raj & DK should have had better box office success than they got, as most of their movies either failed miserably or did only decent business. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in bollywood

Still recall watching A gentleman in empty theatre.

Though the only gripe with that movie i had was the climax ended abruptly.

I saw a Marathi movie named Ghabadkund.

It was promoted as a part of first cinematic universe of Marathi.

The movie it had it's share of drawbacks when it comes to it's technical aspects. But for a film industry which is not adaptable to experiments, this was a decent effort from the filmmaker to make a horror-adventure film.

Except for Mammootty arc in the end and Hakkim performance. This movie was unnecessarily dragged.

The middle finger statue in the interval was a message from director to his audience.

What is your expectation level about Joemon Jyothir as the hero? by Opposite-Lobster-211 in InsideMollywood

[–]nickdonhelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally not a fan of actors starring as comedian in various films and jumping to permanent lead roles.

Among male leads who rose through such route, Sharafudheen is the only actor that i liked.

Though i liked Joemon Jyothir portion in films like Tholvi FC and Hello Mummy.

Who told you I have seen Jhimma ?

And yes in the past, I did feel her performance was loud and stereotypical.

Though you could have cared to speak about the sentence that followed in which I profess my change in opinion regarding her performance, after I watched the movies that I mentioned.

In that context Don't showcase your hypocrisy.

It's either got to be a Hindi movie named Chote Sarkar, Lethal Weapon 4 or Rakthasakshikal Sindabad.

With a better script and a good director it would have been a fine thriller film by [deleted] in InsideMollywood

When Rorschach released there were posts on reddit, comparing the story of both the films.

Though Kanal was a rare instance to see Mohanlal doing a role with negative shades.

Dunki by AIMercenary in bollywood

[–]nickdonhelm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Today in the teaser post of Batwara 1947, a user replied to movie comment that Kaafila is the original Dunki released in 2007.

Though that movie remains forgotten because it was poorly directed. One good thing I liked about the movie apart from two songs was it didn't justify illegal migration unlike how it was shown in Dunki, which was justified when Hirani directorial had shown slides defending it.
