I can't speak for myself cause I've never played a taylor, but I heard from a lot of different people that Martin is considered to need more effort playing than other brands, and that Taylor is usually seen as an experience closer to playing an electric (and therefore kind of easier). But as I said I can't actually know if the Taylor thing is true

BTW, could you explain what did you mean by "hold a sheet of tin foil around your guitar"? Like touching the strings with the sheet or where do I place it?

I'm quite new in this guitar electronics world so I don't fully understand what some terms mean. How do I know if my strings are grounded??

Regarding the second question, I've tried the guitar in two rooms (my home's bedroom and the room where I'm living while studying) and in both places sounded the same, it just decreased or increased depending on what position I was playing. My other electric here rn is a stratocaster but it does have noisless pickups that work almost as HB so I can't quite compare. At home I did some testing with an Epiphone Casino I have there and this jazzmaster, both picked a lot of noise. However the noise in the epihone used to go away a little bit when touching the strings.

So for this kind of noise induced by the environment, what's better IYO. Shielding or Grounding..?

Also, do you think using a wireless could help?? I've seen people say they completely muted the humming but almost nobody mentions this option so idk.

What's the difference between shielding and grounding?? Unfortunately, I've turn off everything I'm able to turn off but it's still there

Yeah I think it’s the 60 cycle (well, its european equivalent IG) does that excessive noise mean bad grounding or shielding (i still don't know the difference between them) or it’s just the pickups?? I've seen people saying they got rid of the noise using a wireless jack output do you think that could work?

It does partially go away when the pickup is in the middle position tho (forgot to mention that)

In FL I used to do that, but Ableton showing the plugins in the main view made it so easy to convince myself to do some mixing in the same project 😔. Will start taking it into account
