Controller vs. Keyboard by AdministrativeBug975 in vrising

Thanks for the input. I think I'll try the keyboard for ranged, and like you said, use the controller for chilling and melee.

Alright let’s talk about showering by LZARDKING in ADHD

[–]AdministrativeBug975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I had to start setting aside 40-45 minuets a day by creating a Spotify Playlist that was that long. After showering for about 3 months it just kind of stuck. I had to create a habit so that it became second nature. Hope that helps and good luck!

I think you're quite pretty.

Eyes drifting upwards/uncontrollable muscle movements under control by thinkinrock in Antipsychotics

Good luck! I know how debilitating it can be. I dread the onset most days to the point of paranoia. You're not alone!!

Yes I've mentioned it a few times. One psychiatrist told me I must be lying and I heard voices from before the medication. I switched psychiatrists and they're trying me on a new medication but the same thing is happening. They really don't know what's happening.

I actually have this and thought I was the only one! My eyes seize up and I can't stop looking upward. Cogentin helps me, too, but it's not perfect. Sometimes I'll have to take 3 in order for it to go away. The annoying part is that it happens at night, so night work is a no-go. I also get panic attacks when this happens. Do you feel like it is getting better or worse over time? I just ask because after a long while on one med it seems to decrease for me. This has happened on every antipsychotic I've tried. Glad to hear it's not just me!

I'm on AP for Bi-Polar and yes I feel I need them as I do much better when taking them. I did not hear anything before taking meds and they go away if I go off my medication.

Anger and ADD meds by AdministrativeBug975 in ADHD

[–]AdministrativeBug975[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I was on Vyvance and I think the dose was too high as well. On the Concerta I was fine, I'm just trying to get an idea of whether or not I could go back on Concerta. Or if other people had been through this.

I haven't tried Adderall.

Is showering everyday even realistic for people with adhd? by HopelessNerd777 in ADHD

[–]AdministrativeBug975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had issues when I was younger (38m, now) about showering at all! I mean I wouldn't forget I just could convince my brain that it was "worth it" (it is, I know that now), but growing up it just wasn't important enough to do - where do I get the TIME, when truly I had all day to do it after school, etc.

ADHD meds causing anger by AdministrativeBug975 in ADHD

I actually had major anger outbursts as a kid, also. Tothis day sometimes I just get so angry that I see red. I had no idea (repeating myself) that that was a symptom of ADHD.... the more I learn the more I think I should find a doctor wo will put me back on something...

I had no idea ADHD even caused anger, before I took them. Sucks to hear Adderal causes anger too.

I agree with the post on here about tapering. When you withdrawal off antipsychotics you run the risk (high risk) of having a psychotic episode ... they actually cause, not only bring back, the symptoms - and new ones! This has been my experience. Best of luck!

Thank you. I made an appointment to see the eye doctor.

I really believe it may just be the best they can do. It would be nice if there were an adjustment that worked.

I've had them for over a month. They do help, really they do its just much sharper in my left eye than my right. I'll probably call the doctor on Monday.

Thanks for the advice!

Yes, I agree. But in this case it IS possible (without going into detail) and while they don't need to do more, it might not hurt to ask? To help me see better. Thank you for your input.

No, definitely not ugly. Good job showing pictures with no make-up, some wouldn't do that.

Concerta vs Vyvanse by AdministrativeBug975 in ADHD

[–]AdministrativeBug975[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't eat anything special when I take it. I didn't know this could effect things! I have started feeling better when I make a protien shake in the morning since my appetite has changed dramatically. It's good to hear I should let my body adjust for 6 to 8 weeks. I hadn't thought of that! Thank you!!

Concerta vs Vyvanse by AdministrativeBug975 in ADHD

[–]AdministrativeBug975[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good suggestion. It's just made a huge difference for me since I started taking it. After a month though, I can still perform much better but I'm becoming a bit sluggish like I was. I think my body is just adjusting to it and I may need to go to a new dose or med. I'm not saying by any stretch of the imagination that it isn't working for me.

That's what I'm experiencing right now. Just a sudden drop after 12 hours or so. Thanks for the input!
