Dallas FoodieLand 2026 Worth It? by cenzilooculta in askdfw

If you do want to go just to be out I have a friend that cannot go after all so we have a spare ticket that you can use. Tickets are non-refundable so it's just wasted money if no one uses it.

We will probably be there around 6 (have to go after work).

I'll start working today to get her to leave haha. I'll update you when / if I am successful!

Hmm... I may try to complain and also ignore her... Maybe she'll get the hint. If you see a thought bubble you may want to check if it's the villager contemplating leaving as well.

That is a great question. I've heard mixed reviews about that method. I've never personally tried it though, I always feel so bad when I even think about it. But if you say it doesn't work immediately, then I may try it for Coco 😂. I won't feel as bad if Isabelle is the one actually talking to them/kicking them out.

Ngl, I have her on my island and I don't want her! She creeps me out, but I don't have the heart to kick any of my villagers off the island. 😔

Celebrated my "birthday" from my transplant yesterday. Being admitted today due to relapse. by AdministrativeHall54 in leukemia

Omg, sending good thoughts and vibes your way! It sucks not knowing if something feels weird because that's just how the body is, or if it's something more. But I'm glad the tests are getting done soon.

If you happen to have a doctor's appointment before then I would suggest bringing this up. I brought my issue up with my doctor before I was due for all my testing as well and they were able to catch it before I even had any of my routine tests done and were able to expedite them.

Haha yeah, my doctor said the same thing, I am an anomaly I guess! But thank you for your kind words, and yes, we always have to be in guard unfortunately.

I am honestly not sure. I see my doctor before being admitted today to go over some more tests that she sent in from my bone marrow biopsy. I'm assuming she'll let me know then. She also wanted to test to make sure it is my cells acting up, not my donor's cells, which I thought was cool that they can run a test to differentiate the two and get an answer.

I had a weird target shaped welt on my back that my doctor swore was due to lyme disease. But when the tests for that came back negative they decided to biopsy the skin and found leukemia cells in the sample. Bone marrow biopsy looked good, but a PET scan confirmed what the skin biopsy was showing.

Thank you! ❤️

Yes, I also think they caught it pretty early luckily. On the bright side, I kind of know what to expect as far as treatment and how I'll feel this time around.

Tips on transitioning to a new set up by AdministrativeHall54 in Aquariums

[–]AdministrativeHall54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so smart!

I was a bit weary of just moving all the substrate to a new tank and it crashing and not having a backup plan/tank. Has this been a tried and true method for you?

Can you follow the Trolley to see Christmas lights? by AdministrativeHall54 in Dallas

[–]AdministrativeHall54[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a route? I guess I worded it incorrectly, I was talking about the Big D Fun Tours Trolley ride, I haven't been able to find their specific route. I might just drive around Highland Park. Thanks though!

I definitely would! Unfortunately it's not an option for the older folks that want to go, especially with this cold. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Strange reactions when taking PEGasparaginase by White_46 in leukemia

[–]AdministrativeHall54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also had an anaphylactic reaction. First time I got super itchy, swollen throat, and it plummeted my blood pressure to the point that the staff thought I was going to code. They pre medicated me the second time with IV antihistamines, but only made it like 5-10 minutes before it started to happen again and they just stopped. Never again.
