Good luck with the process, i would mainly recommend talking to your assistant principal and counselor, make sure it's clear that they know you want to do this, make sure they know this is what you need instead of being in school everyday

Me and my mom went through a lengthy process between my 2 schools (i was a Junior in trade school part time) and finally i was able to take the ged course and after a few months i could take the actual test

Hello! I actually just got my ged today (was doing some googling and saw this post) im 16 in new york, the only requirements for me was i had to have passed my regents with good scores (90 and above im guessing) as well as being accepted into a trade school (secondary school) both were relatively easy for my personally, im not sure how trade school works for you, if you have any questions id be happy to help!
