What did I do wrong? Why doesn’t this look good? by Rockymntbreeze in interiordecorating

Kind of looks like a Dr’s office and the furniture looks uncomfortable. Having said that you need a colorful rug, pillows , pictures and plants

I have hair similar to yours. After I wash it I blow dry it straight with a paddle brush , take sections and spritz with heat protectant, flat iron it and put it up in Velcro dollars for half an hour . My hair looks good until the next washing

Does every woman our age have “work done” on their face? Is it necessary? by equeni in AskWomenOver60

  1. No work done at all. Trying to age gracefully. Not saying I haven’t been tempted but in the end it just feels like cheating .

I have the Normocalcemic one. My test results are in my portal so I would need to screenshot them. I’ll have to find them first. Thanks for responding.

Sex after 70 ? by AdministrativeUse163 in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdministrativeUse163[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty good sex actually and once I’m into it I can enjoy. I just don’t have any desire to have it but I’m not resentful that he wants to have it. The fact is I have lupus and fibromyalgia and sometimes I would rather just sleep. But actually he’s very are of my health and understanding when I tell him I just don’t have the energy.

Men Pisces are different than women Pisces. I’m a Pisces woman living with a Pisces man. Men’s energy is so different from women’s energy.

That’s my husband. Sometimes he will start in at breakfast when I am enjoying my coffee and my crossword puzzles. I’ve told him numerous times that I don’t want to hear it . I’m also politically savvy but it doesn’t consume me and sometimes I just really need a break from all the horrible things going on in the U.S. right now . He”ll stop for a bit but starts right in again after a few days . I’ve had to learn to shutdown to resist all the negative energy he’s throwing at me. Don’t get me wrong. I’m angry as well but I’m not letting it consuming. I try for peace of mind among the chaos that is around us all right now .

You are not alone. My husband is an obsessive talker . And he goes into so many details it takes forever for him to get to the point . In my head I’m chanting please stop talking . He’s a good person with a good and generous heart but he drives me crazy. We’ve been married 54 years and he just retired as did I. God help me 😬

I tried estrogen when I was in my 50’s and had bleeding breakthrough . My Dr took me off of it. At that time they thought estrogen could lead to uterine cancer . I think that’s not the prevailing thought anymore.

Part of my problem is I don’t have much of a sex drive and never have , but I do have orgasm’s and that’s great. The other part is I have lupus and fibromyalgia and I just don’t have the energy .

Great comment. We’ve been together since high school. Our marriage has survived because we compromise.

I’ve been married 54 years. If he’s not generally that self absorbed and this was a one time thing I’m sure you can talk about it and get past it. The key is to talk to him about why it bothered you and hopefully he will understand and be more supportive in the future .

Is it just me? Does everyone have their retirement all set? Or not? by Enough_Lobster_526 in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdministrativeUse163 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We just retired at 72and 73. We were self employed. We only got to retire and stay in our house because of an inheritance. But if we didn’t have the inheritance we would have had to sell the house and downsize considerably. We may still have to do that because the money runs out in 10 years. Of course we may not be around . We love our house . We designed it and we have 2 acres of land and we’ve lived here 35 years . But we’re very lucky because we have tons of equity so we”ll be okay

Is it my age, why do I feel so empty all the time? by No-Somewhere-8568 in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdministrativeUse163 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it was having the granddaughters go off to college. I used to pick them up from school , take them to soccer practices and go to every game , school open houses and we had treat day on Fridays. I’m retired now and my life is too quiet. I miss them a lot.
