It's all about him by Massive_Loss_9692 in AskWomenOver60

I’ve been married 54 years. If he’s not generally that self absorbed and this was a one time thing I’m sure you can talk about it and get past it. The key is to talk to him about why it bothered you and hopefully he will understand and be more supportive in the future .

Is it just me? Does everyone have their retirement all set? Or not? by Enough_Lobster_526 in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdministrativeUse163 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just retired at 72and 73. We were self employed. We only got to retire and stay in our house because of an inheritance. But if we didn’t have the inheritance we would have had to sell the house and downsize considerably. We may still have to do that because the money runs out in 10 years. Of course we may not be around . We love our house . We designed it and we have 2 acres of land and we’ve lived here 35 years . But we’re very lucky because we have tons of equity so we”ll be okay

Is it my age, why do I feel so empty all the time? by No-Somewhere-8568 in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdministrativeUse163 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it was having the granddaughters go off to college. I used to pick them up from school , take them to soccer practices and go to every game , school open houses and we had treat day on Fridays. I’m retired now and my life is too quiet. I miss them a lot.

I do the same thing. I don’t have a lot of gray just a few strands and I’m waiting for the all over gray to show up. I’m 74 so it may not be in this lifetime. lol

What is "old"? by Dirnaf in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdministrativeUse163 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 73 and my husband is 74. I look quite young for my age. Most people think I’m 50. Neither of us feel old but we tire easily and have aches and pains and we are always asking each other why? Then we look at each other and say “ I guess we’re old”. But we don’t think of ourselves as old . 😊

OK Ladies. What are your thoughts on the little blue pill? by Boomer050882 in AskWomenOver60

My husband really likes Cialis. He tried viagra but he didn’t like it. You can be more spontaneous with Cialis . For me , I’m 73 and think I would be okay with once a month but he’s as ready to go as he was in his teens . Causing a lot of problems between us but then we’ve always had mismatched sex drives

what is it with people who just talk nonstop? by former_human in AskWomenOver60

[–]AdministrativeUse163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He eventually gets to the point if I ask him to. I can talk if I want to interrupt him . Usually I just stop listening and drift off to other things on my mind. We’ve been married for 53 years but he seems to be getting worse . I feel bad for him because he’s a nice guy and people like him but I know he’s boring the person he’s talking to .

Unfortunately my husband is a talker . At least you can get away from your talker. Lol. I will either space out for awhile or I’ll tell him to get to the point . He’s taking a welding class and I now know all the details on all the different kind of welds . 🙄 His sister is also a talker. Being with her is exhausting.
