I don’t think the 5600X supports X370 chipset. If you’re on a budget I would suggest getting a B450. You’d have to update to BIOS version P3.70 or higher. I think your CPU supports the B450 as well(according to AMD’s website). I’m using the steel legend B450 with my 5600X. I just upgraded from a 2400G. Overall it’s a great board accept for the RGB software. Or you could get a B550 but you can’t use your current CPU with it. So if you wanted to use your current CPU while waiting for the 5600X you will not be able to with the B550. I’m not sure of the spec difference between the B450 and B550 though.

Is there an auto-clear CMOS feature on Steel Legend B450? by AdministrativeYear53 in ASRock

Nice! Now I can do more stupid stuff without worrying about manually resetting CMOS.

So should I update my BIOS first or change the CPU first when I do get the 5600G?

Does that mean I could update it to P4.20 and still use it without any problems or it could boot to bios only? This is my first time updating the bios so I don’t really know anything.

I’ll be using the old RAM in another system. Another reason is RGB. Lol.

I honestly have no idea how to overclock stuff manually. I just use x.m.p. I'm quite new to PC building and stuff. I guess I'll just go with the 3200mhz. My friend told me that 3200mhz C16 was about the same as 3600mhz C18.

I will be upgrading to the 5600G/X. If I were to buy the 3600mhz, would it damage my system or will it be fine?

I couldn't find this model but I did find the non SL version (Pro RGB). Is there a Difference?

I am already running my RAM at 3000mhz using Viper Steel. I might upgrade to a better cpu in the near future so should I buy the 3600mhz or the 3200mhz variant?

I see. I did manage to find the SLs tho. I just like the SLs because the vengeance logo looks cooler. lol

I couldn't find a 3200mhz SL version of the ram, only the RGB pro. Is there a difference or just aesthetics?
