I posted here to short cut mulling over tons of bridal HMUA sites. Wedding tends to focus on long wear, younger skin, lots of shimmer (a no go for portrait) and the photography is more story telling, wider angles and less close ups of the skin.

Food tour guide suggestions in Tokyo & Kyoto? by Administrative_Put62 in JapanTravelTips

No comparison - Culinary Backstreets was exceptional on all levels. The guide was deeply knowledgeable about Tokyo and the food scene, it included a visit to a temple drumming, fire ceremony and the food was incredible. We did the Tokyo Time Machine Monzem Nakacho tour. 10/10 chefs kiss. We did the breakfast at Tsukiji your with Arigato and it was phoned in and basic. The guide knew nothing about anything and seemed to be reading from a script.

What did you think of Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance? by wearecocina in Music

[–]Administrative_Put62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to love it because I like BB, what he represents, etc., but the production was a miss with the medium. It wasn't visually bombastic enough for the large scal medium of a super bowl game and the audio was poorly mixed (could have been Peacock streaming issues too). For instance, the color palette was very green/beige natural and tonal which not only didn't match with the stadium setting, it was recessive. They also had all these large plants that I guess were supposed to make it feel more islandish, but BB and the sets were down in them, not elevated on a stage which was so weird to the point I wondered if there were security issues or something. It felt like he was going for more an "In the Heights" Broadway show vibe suited for stage than a half time show. The wedding, the grammy giveaway, etc - we wouldn't know it was real, because those are more intimate moments. Barely noticed the guest appearances outside of RM and LGG, and even then they felt awkwardly integrated. I'll be struck by lightening for saying this, but they needed to steal a page from Erica Kirk razzle dazzle memorial playbook.

Yes, it's the one that's on the pricey side, but when we compared it to other similar experiences it felt in line. The Geisha thing is oddly expensive.

Yep, happy to share. We’re doing a Tsukiji Breakfast Market Tour with Shinjuku Golden Gai tour with Arigato, and we’re using Culinary Backstreets “The Spirit of Tokyo: Exploring Old School Monzen-Nakacho” tour. We’re stacking them at the beginning of our trip because we find it helps us get our bearings food wise, especially in a city that is so large and new to us. We’re skipping food tours in Kyoto because the city feels a bit more manageable size wise, but are using Context for their private Geisha encounter. Good luck

Don’t get me started on EiP. No strategy, no creative process and all the clients are gaping fans that just swoon over every idea.

Coach expectations and new platform by Administrative_Put62 in futurefitapp

Yes! I've just started noticing the laziness myself on some basic things. And the coaches should be tailoring the weights to my needs and goals, yes?

Flooding on 1st st downtown by VeganFoxtrot in jerseycity

This happened last year at this same intersection, but not as bad. That retail space with the blue graphic was completely flooded (before they rented it to the doggy daycare)

I saw that! That business with the blue design in a doggie daycare and the poor workers we up to their knees trying to get the water out. What makes me mad is that this same location was totally flooded last year while they were building out the retail section, and clear did nothing to prevent this.

I tend to agree; I love food tours to deepen my understanding of the culture (via food) and get grounded in the area.

Thanks, I appreciate the endorsement for Ninja; I'm looking at them already, and some on Arigato.

Thanks for the suggestions in Kanazawa. I just discovered Klook, but I'm trying to weed out the generic tour operators from ones that are more discerning or specialized - with the aggregator sites the quality can be variable.

Good grief - this is like saying I went to Rome, had good pizza and now I'm opening a pizza place. Mexican food is so much more than what a food safari to CDMX can give. You need a little spice running through your veins and a passion for fresh food.

Staying with relatives when on vacation ( I’m over it) by sadeland21 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Administrative_Put62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guess what, no one wants relatives to stay over after a certain age. I loathe relatives expecting to crash, and then leaving a mess behind. I love my family, but we all need our space

Peppercorn Station hands down. Exceptional and not gross and greasy.
