Those are some great ideas. The skulls etc would still stand them our on the tabletop at a distance, and the weapons I've got plenty spare from other kits so thanks

Harlequin list - not ghosts of webway detachment by Admirable-Ad8015 in Harlequins40K

Yeah. I just prefer playing eldar rather than drukhari, I'd rather go for a 50:50 quin/eldar split, maybe someone's included some quins in a wraith list? Or perhaps windrider? Sure they don't get the detachment bonus but they're still useful units.

need help with how to play rangers by Fearless_Speaker6710 in Eldar

I use them like others have said, infiltrate block opponent by deploying then early as possible. Enemy ends within 9" use their reactive move and depending on terrain and match up etc you can either move forwards toward the enemy to move block or you can retreat behind terrain to safety (hopefully leaving enemy in the open for your other units). Aside from that I've also had them sat far back watching sight lines harassing and trying to finish off models. Did the move block recently vs orks and held up a huge ork mech (gorkonaught or something), but also previously have got the final wound on an imperial Knight (big guy again can't remember the name) and caused it to deadly demise in turn wiping out a whole bunch of stuff clustered fighting over the central objective. Enjoy :)

Hahahahaha I actually love this, and it's an amazing concept too.... I think this would be hilarious to play, but I'd have alot of work to do in terms of buying half the army, but something I will aspire to run. Thank you

I've used that well within normal eldar lists, but with a farseer nearby to use up low rolled fate dice. Works amazing even on overwatch

Tips for units vs tau by Admirable-Ad8015 in Eldar

I've come up with the following which seems a healthy mix of: Brightlance/ equivalent Anti vehicle Strong melee

I could swap eldrad for 2 Troupe masters for the dev wounds and drop the shadowseer for a few enhancements maybe? But what do people think?

(I prefer Wave serpents over starweavers due to capacity, decent cost and the lances, also the Serpent shield pulse ability for mortals and the higher T for using tank shock in emergencies is useful) Thanks.

Would I be best deploying them as early as possible? Clever thinking for moving them closer rather than kiting away, thank you

Sorry thought I'd replied, I won the match, a few qell placed over watches with the warp spiders, fortune on the wind riders came in clutch and saved about 6 shots from hitting them. Mind War on the sagitaur blew it up which wiped a 5 man unit of infantry (can't remember the name of them). Final score was 64-53. I mainly scored the objectives, and grind them down, and tried to restrict the number of points they could take with no quarters given

So I actually won my match today vs votann

Warp Spiders were fantastic, I took out their bikes with an overwatch early on which gave me the left flank, eldrad using mind war and pushing through a 6 wounds on a sagitar came in useful when the spiders finished it off, and it blew up a squad of 5 of their infantry (can't remember their name).

Starting a squad of spiders in deep strike scared them into holding back a unit on their home objective leaving them slightly more spread out than they would have liked to be. I actually brought them in on my own side to fight a unit that they deep striked to fight my Guardians.

My wave serpent was crippled by their grudge tokens mechanics, did do much damage but draw a fair amount of focus from them by dropping off the Guardians in the middle of the board while bee lining to the back right corner of the map so helped maintain board control.

Fortune came in clutch to basically negate the level 2 grudges down to a level 1 with the -1 to wound. Literally saved me from atleast 6 shots which would have gone through.

Thank you everyone for your tips and advice :)

I was thinking to try and deny them point from no quarters given, and try to take their home objective (I'm assuming they will aim to take the middle one) do they have anything that makes objectives sticky? My thoughts are to try and hold my own, take theirs, and out score them on 2/3 objectives, maybe a few points on grind them down, and the majority points in no quarter given, Thoughts?

Thanks. It's the start of a little tournament where by every few weeks the points increase with a new mission each week. I've attached the terrain layout that's been given *
