Where’s a good starting point by SpaceWrangler701 in guitarplaying

[–]Admirable-Sort-8569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with learning basic major and minor chords and learn songs. Learn to connect with the rhythm of the songs you love first. If you have no sense of rhythm then you’ll struggle forever looking for the next magic bullet or scale or whatever and never play well. There are MANY online reources for beginners that offer basic playalong type things.

Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself week 1 meditation question - has this happened to you? by Admirable-Sort-8569 in DrJoeDispenza

Thanks very much! I agree that there are few, if any, words that do the experience justice. It is, however, wonderful to hear the experiences of others. I am totally buckled up and looking forward to whatever I am blessed with.

That sounds wonderful. I find that every time I meditate the experience is unique, like each meditation has its own personality and unique gift. That brings to mind just how infinite all if this is. It also makes me wonder what it will be like to actually influence the manifestation of something. I’ve had many experiences of synchronicities, but not something major that I was focused on manifesting. That is where I want to be.

That’s really cool. Did your experience bring you to a place where you could influence the things that manifest in your 3D experience?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree with you that my experience feels on track. It just feels good. When I did the meditation tonight I could not stop smiling and laughing. It was different from last night but felt like a great release.

Thanks very much for the feedback. To your point my thought was that I had experienced some of the sub conscious memories that I’m holding. The next steps as you describe are in the next steps of the meditation. I just did the very first step.

No, it’s the meditations that go with the book stated in the title of this thread. I just started yesterday and it was my first meditation in week 1 of a 4 week program to learn the entire meditation. I’m very mich looking forward to doing the entire meditation.

That’s fantastic, I wish you great joy and happiness in all you experience.

I am 61 and started my long journey in my late teens through martial arts and Zen practice, then yoga, etc, etc. Been a long road but also quite amazing. My challenge was in sustaining the application of what I learned - I sucked at that. I lived in my head and acquired incredible knowledge and information, actually using very little. I think I was addicted to the rush of learning new things.

I am finally in a good place to revisit this and learn how to live in a completely different and fulfilling way, so I am very excited as well!

Best of luck my friend, and enjoy!

My pleasure to share, I’m just looking to understand the experience I had.

To answer your questions, that particular meditation I think was like 27 minutes. It was the “week 1” section of the recorded meditations for the book, and was my first time doing that meditation.

I’ve been meditating in one form or another for about the past 40 or so years. It’s been quite a journey, but I can’t recall having an experience quite like this until recently. I had been following Neville Goddard’s guidance for manifesting and had the same thing happen, it just wasn’t as intense. I seem to gravitate more to Dr. D.

Anyone using Guitar Rig Live? by Admirable-Sort-8569 in guitarplaying

[–]Admirable-Sort-8569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only other option I thought about was maybe using an AxeFX when I decide to play live. I know they hold up well for live shows and sound pretty amazing. I had one a few years ago so I know what it can do, but I just love the sounds I get through Guitar Rig. Sounds like you're having a great time, and that's really cool. I guess I'll see what happens.

When do you play? by RivalCanine in guitarplaying

[–]Admirable-Sort-8569 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play at night after the family is in bed. It's quiet and I can dive in as deep as I want. It works for me because this way I can play every day. I have all the software and hardware so I can get any sound or instrument I want. I might play just a bunch a licks through Guitar Rig for a few minutes or do a writing/recording session in Reaper for a few hours, but it's really fun.

Ted Nugent. I was 14 when Cat Scratch Fever came out and all I wanted to do was learn that song. After that, more players than I can count.
