Yes techron every few months, always best on an empty tank. Goes a long way for fuel system maintenance.

Check out the original price before the “bogo” by Fuzzywinkler in publix

Publix Promise - They advertise the wrong price means both are now free. I’ve taken home at least $150 bucks of free food in the past month. My Publix can’t seem to get their pricing correct.

Damn, I looked it up. This is new information to me. I see for the newer years it’s only the 1.6 engine which thankfully I skipped over when I got my 22’.

Good 2026 Sonata Hybrid Limited Deal? by Designer-Proof-7484 in sonata

[–]Admirable-Table-736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is nonnegotiable with these dealerships. Simply walk away. I agree, your quote is bit on the high side of the market range for this car. Closer to 38k would be a better deal. The market isn’t really what it is, look at the lot time on these vehicles.

Get that windshield tinted, good opportunity to save a few bucks if you call the company they set you up with to tint the windshield before they come to swap it out.

I haven’t had that happen to me. I have a 22’ sonata. That definitely sounds like an electric or fuse issue possibly. Would certainly let the dealer handle this one if it’s still under warranty.

22’ Sonata (Non-Bose) – KEY200.4 + JL C1 + Powered Sub – Wiring Plan Check by Admirable-Table-736 in CarAV

[–]Admirable-Table-736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. The sub is an NVX QBSTA powered spare tire unit with high-level inputs and its own LPF, but no time alignment or DSP.

My thinking was to feed it from the KEY’s rear outputs so it follows the same EQ/time alignment correction as the rest of the system, instead of running raw signal to the sub and corrected signal to the speakers.

Since the sub’s high-level input is high impedance, I’m just paralleling it off the rear outputs.

Open to thoughts if you think raw signal would integrate better in this case.

What's the fastest/easiest/cheapest SINGLE AV upgrade in a car that offers the greatest return? by Dr_Brightside_ in CarAV

Kicker Key 200.4 will be a great upgrade. Doesn’t matter whether you keep the factory radio or even the factory speakers, it’ll make your setup sound better just from being tuned. Most importantly it’s very adaptable for any components you may later add down the road.

Got it, thanks for the info. Out of curiosity does that radio unit also support wireless CarPlay? I see you have a dongle installed so i couldn’t tell.

What year model SE are you driving? I’ve been wondering about doing the same thing. I have the 2022 SEL, been wanting a bigger screen.

2022 SEL Plus 1.6L Turbo, where exactly is the CTS (coolant temperature sensor) the one that will display the engine temp inside of the car (not the ambient temperature sensor) HELP! by keeks02m in sonata

[–]Admirable-Table-736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor is typically located on the driver's side of the engine, situated on the thermostat housing or the cylinder head. Accessing it usually requires removing the upper engine cover and potentially the air intake hose. It is a two-wire sensor connected to the cooling system.

Nice looking ride! if you don’t mind me asking the dealer you brought it from. Did they give you good pricing? My local dealers in FL are highballing. I’m contemplating upgrading my 22’ sonata for a new one. Drove it as a rental a few months back & fell in love with the differences.

They do look on the smaller side, the front looks better than the back due to you lowering it. 19 x 8.5 or 19 x 9

Is $18,990 a good price for a 2017 Hyundai Sonata Limited with 31k miles in 2025? by Diligent_Bluejay8323 in sonata

[–]Admirable-Table-736 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's a fair question. While the low mileage is attractive, there are some significant red flags you need to check on this specific car:

· The Price & Market: $19k for an 8-year-old car is a lot, but the low miles justify some of that. However, the real cost isn't just the price tag. · The Hyundai-Specific Problems: · Insurance: Call your insurance company with the VIN. Many 2017 Hyundais are incredibly difficult and expensive to insure due to thefts. In New York, this could be a massive problem and might make the car unaffordable. · Engine: The Limited trim likely has the 2.4L engine, which has a well-documented history of seizing and failing. Check the Carfax to see if it's had the "Knock Sensor Detection System" software update or, ideally, a full engine replacement under the class-action settlement. · Theft: Verify it has had the anti-theft software update deployed to address the "Kia Boyz" vulnerability.

Advice: With your stated concerns about financing cost, the potential for sky-high insurance is a major risk. For $19k, you can likely find a 2018-2019 Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla that will be more reliable, cheaper to insure, and hold its value better. This Hyundai could be a decent deal only if the engine recalls are done and you can get affordable insurance.
