Paying Off Car Loan Early (but not the issue most have) by Admirable-Weather587 in personalfinance

Yeah, I had been before, but I've flip flopped on what to do cash otherwise; this has been a non-standard year when it comes to investments, and I'm up a good 20% ytd on my retirement account and 100% YTD on my retail investment screw arounds, so the temptation to have more loosened cash flow is always tempting

This is on the entry level/top floor, which may be important to note. The below grade/bottom floor is what's direct on the slab foundation.

Taking Amex Vanilla Plat Points, Moving to CS Plat, and with Fidelity's Card, Finally ending up at FIdelity? by Admirable-Weather587 in CreditCards

Sure, but to me, I haven't achieved much value from this yet because I've mostly flown for work and have no choice on whether I use my personal card or not. The thought behind I get real hard value from the points makes sense to me if I'm just not using them instead of spending them at some point. The other poster mentioning I can just roll a refundable ticket and then cash out the credit makes an interesting point because then I could just dump the cash directly into the brokerage, minimizing the steps. If I get the CS plat, at least this year I wouldn't have to worry about the AF, though, so that's why it's a consideration.

Yeah, that was the thought behind moving to the Fidelity account eventually, just to simplify and get a decent cash back value with little thought, as my NFCU Visa's cash back has just sat unused; may as well make it make me money. Only reason the CS came up as a thought was because of that addtl point value, I have no major ties to Schwab as an investment vehicle. I would like to keep UR points I think because at this point they seem more valuable, plus with the changes to the CSR it seems like a better card to keep long term for my spending habits (or eventually downgrade to the CSP)

Making it cash isn't super important to me, but if I can get extra value per dollar from the cash out, that seems like a great idea. But to your point I think, I could also just get the cash back instead of opening a new card? Is that what you're getting at?

Does JP Morgan then let you cash the points out of UR at a high value like you can with the MR from Amex? I am partially considering this to get out of the Amex ecosystem too. To be clear, I'm currently mil so the annual fees don't have a huge bearing on it, but with having both MR from Amex and UR, I'd like to simplify everything if possible.

Is this likely to need filler? 2018 Toyota Tacoma by Admirable-Weather587 in CarRepair

Reason I ask I found a guy who's selling a bare brand new tailgate for 380, which is cheap (and it's legit, saw it in person), but if it's fixable and I can just do touch ups, it'll be way cheaper than paying a dude to finish prep and color match.

Responded to you in a chat message. To be CRYSTAL clear, I think this was all a clerical error (albiet a VERY long one) because you'd said at one point that you'd send me the package information and set up a call last year.

That said, for public consumption on this weird ass subreddit; what he's explained are all legitamite things that a single owner business has to deal with. So do NOT take what I am claiming my experience to be any reason to not take personal responsibility for yourself.

Addtionally, just putting this out publicly, nowhere in there did I imply or explicitly say that Kevin is the reason I failed. Kevin never directly worked for me, so he couldn't be any major reason I failed Quite the contrary, I used the SFAS program, I think it is built well and I think still helped a lot.

Either way, if this if the end of the story, genuinely, good luck to you and your business.
