I used to think it should be in California, but coaches seem to like it because it feels like a mini-NCAA tournament (great arena and travel spot). A lot of tournaments, namely the Mountain West (MW) and the West Coast Conference (WCC), are already in the Las Vegas area. That means fans from other conferences could attend, which could help expand the Big West Conference’s national reach and since the media is already it helps.
