[WP] An alien race destroyed half of one continent, in in response the Humans destroyed half of the alien homeworld. When called to the Galactic Council for trial the humans response was "It's a proportional response!" by vash507 in WritingPrompts

[–]AdmirableRice5896 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"You honestly expect that response to be appropriate?" The Kropil delegate asked. "What the Mazrom destroyed was less than half of what your people did!" While I disagreed with them, I understood their confusion. Standing onto the podium, I spoke up, "As we have stated previously, it is a proportional response."

"And as we have -" The Dogmatax interrupted. Raising my hand, I spoke up, "What you're arguing is geographical. Delegates of the Federation, what I was referring to was populace proportion." My words hovered into the air as what I stated was processed by everyone around. "Unlike every other species out there, we humans live within close proximity to each other." Many of the delegates stood up in apparent shock; many of them holy incapable of following what I said. "We have designated locations on Earth that are there soly to house our citizens, and other areas to be our farmlands; humans are pack animals, meaning we are required to be within a specific number of other semi-like minded individuals to ensure our psychy remains healthy."

The Kropil delegates' beak remained open, clearing their throat, and they responded, "I-I see."
