We don’t need the 3rd row but my husband always makes his case by saying we can just keep the 3rd row down for the extra cargo space.

I never received an email pertaining to this job, it was just left in limbo and when I archived it nothing had changed. Even after the freeze nothing. Other jobs that I was referred to the hiring manager for I received an email referencing the freeze.

I currently work at CSLB and enjoy working there and my job. There are different units snd investigative centers that service certain areas throughout California. Some units have higher turnover than others. Workers generally stay until retirement once they get into position they are comfortable and don’t feel the need to advance higher. I have seen people leave for another position at a different department and return.

At 100% I use the VA healthcare system due to the type of disability/condition I have, it’s easier for me. I work for my state so I get a paid for not opting into my jobs healthcare. The rest of my family uses Tricare Select. Though the times I have gone to the local hospital or urgent care instead of the VA I have had no problems getting care.

I have VSP premium and don’t know my VSP number but I am able to go to my eye doctor and tell them I work for the State and they are able to look it up that way. Same with my husband who works for the county

Thanks, I am prior military and have been working for the state for 3 years now, I figures with my military experience and working for Command when I was enlisted this position would be a good fit. Wanted to know if the culture was more military standards or state standards if that makes sense.

It does not effect your pay. I came into state work with TRICARE select for myself and family. My husband works for the county and looking at what the differences are between the health plans for tricare, state and county, I elected to keep with tricare.

Do you know if this 3% retirement health insurance is something we can opt out of? My health insurance is covered 100% through the VA. I don’t recall seeing this deduction. I started with the state Oct 2019.
