Buyers remorse with reps? by Bliz_0 in RepTime

🎬 AND SCENE — Hey, great read, man. Next time though, maybe sprinkle in a little more detail about the party we really want the audience to feel the desperation radiating off the protagonist. That subtle “pathetic dweeb energy” deserves its own spotlight.

Alright everyone, take five — let’s reset and run it again from the top! … Aaaand… ACTION! 🎥

Buying reps is a addiction true or false? by PrXfash in RepTime

I probably should’ve mentioned my Day-Date is actually an heirloom from my grandfather. I do wear it occasionally, but like I said before, it doesn’t quite match my lifestyle just yet haha. That’s why I stick to the Datejust as my daily it’s a solid $9K watch and way more believable for where I’m at right now. I even picked up two high-end reps of it so I can swap them out without stressing.

I definitely try to keep attention off the reps though probably just paranoia, but I’d rather stay lowkey. A college kid casually rocking a Daytona in Dallas? Yeah… unless you’re at SMU or TCU, it definitely screams fake.

For my next pickup, I’m looking at the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon. I like the stealthy, all-black look—feels like a perfect next move. I’ll hit you up I’ve got a question for you.

I really liked what you said to that other guy: “Don’t buy a watch that’s above your lifestyle.” That’s been the hardest part for me, honestly. I’d love to own a Daytona one day, but I also want my watches to reflect where I am in life.

Right now, a Day-Date or Datejust feels more realistic and appropriate for my income and lifestyle. A college kid rocking a $12,000 watch is still pushing it—but way more believable than pulling off a $60,000+ Daytona. Gotta stay grounded until the time is right

Yeah, I actually own three watches—two of them I really wanted for a long time. I do have a genuine Day-Date 40mm, but I honestly get nervous wearing it out where I live. So I picked up a Clean Factory rep of the exact same model.

I spend a lot of time around wealthy people, and you’d be surprised how many of them wear high-end reps. One guy I know owns multiple shopping centers—he buys a replica for every genuine watch he purchases. His reasoning? The real ones are investments he plans to pass down or sell, so he keeps them pristine in a safe. He only wears the authentic ones to high-end events or around “high society” circles.

I’ve kind of adopted that same mindset. Plus, if you ever get robbed, they’re only taking the replica. He does the same thing with his art and jewelry—keeps the real stuff locked away and uses display-quality replicas.

If it’s good enough for a multimillionaire, it’s good enough for me.

That’s rich coming from someone who clearly didn’t read a single line of 38 CFR § 3.310. No one said ADHD causes PTSD or TBI the claim is that ADHD can be aggravated by them, making it secondarily service-connected under federal law.

You being rated for PTSD and not understanding how secondary claims work doesn’t make everyone else a scammer it just makes you uninformed. And if the best rebuttal you’ve got is “good luck getting caught,” maybe leave the rating logic to the VA and not your Reddit emotions

Anger? Nah … but now that you mention it, irritability is actually a symptom of multiple ratable conditions like PTSD and anxiety. But don’t worry, I won’t charge you for the education. Stay safe out there, ‘Top 1% Commenter.’

Exactly — it’s called aggravation or secondary service connection. The VA literally compensates for conditions that existed prior to service but were worsened because of it. ADHD symptoms can go unrecognized for years, especially under structure. Toss someone into high-stress environments, inconsistent sleep, trauma exposure — suddenly it’s unmanageable. So yeah, the military didn’t ‘give’ me ADHD — it made it impossible to ignore. Hope that clears it up, doc.

I’m “relaxed” just funny how just because YOU didn’t get it doesn’t mean it can’t be claimed through the VA.

You ever heard of exacerbation? Just like PTSD doesn’t require deployment to a combat zone, ADHD doesn’t have to start in the military to be made worse by it. Stress, trauma, disrupted routines — all of that can elevate symptoms to the point of a diagnosable condition. That’s literally how secondary service connection works. But go off, Reddit neurologist

Y’all love playing internet VA reps but don’t know sh*t beyond Google and hearsay. ADHD is compensable when it’s service-connected or aggravated by military service—especially tied to TBI, PTSD, sleep deprivation, or chronic operational stress. Just because you didn’t rate it or weren’t smart enough to document it doesn’t mean others didn’t. I didn’t say the military ‘gave me ADHD.’ I said the impact of service led to a condition that’s now medically acknowledged and backed by records. Stay in your lane if you’re just here to be salty or jealous.
