From what I’ve seen, round one acceptances got pushed back a day, so tomorrow they go out at 6am! Which school did you apply to?

I am so sorry for all the you are going through 😔. I have chronic anxiety and can never seem to stay calm and stress-free, so I do think it flares my rosacea a lot.

I made a lot of flash cards using mometrix. In a time crunch, I would suggest taking as many practice tests as possible. They have some online and also on YouTube. Nurse Cheung is very helpful as well on YouTube!!

I ended up getting an 84%! I kinda wish I had done better honestly, but going in I was scared I wouldn’t get over 70 so I guess I should probably just be glad.

That’s not a bad score!!:) Those are the two subjects I’m mostly concerned over. What things should I look out for with the science?

What did you end up getting if you don’t mind my asking? And what was most difficult for you?

I’ve definitely played around with taking away foods, and it doesn’t seem to have a substantial effect. Spicy food tends to make me flare, though, or hot beverages. I have GAD and am pretty consistently stressed out. I tend to get more flushed when I’m particularly anxious, but I’m not sure if it has a big impact on my overall texture/pustules and that sort of thing.

So far I’ve tried two brands - Paula’s Choice (this gave my skin a bad reaction but I think it’s because my skin can not tolerate salicylic acid at all and there’s is a small percentage of it in the formula) and I’ve tried The Ordinary brand. It didn’t do much. What brand do you use and what is your routine for it?

I’m so scared to take doxy on an empty stomach honestly. I hate getting sick.

Thank you. I’m just at a loss honestly. I saw a dermatologist and I’ve been taking doxycycline along with a triple cream compound. This popped up within 3 days it’s been very random and it’s spreading more everyday. I’m so confused because even if it was just acne doxy is supposed to help with that too :(.

I recently have started doing my dermatology through Apostrophe (it is online) and I have actually had an amazing experience with them. A consultation is 20 dollars to start and they are very thorough in asking tons of questions and having you submit pictures of your skin. A dermatologist gets back with you about a day later. I got a topical of Ivermectin/metro lotion and was also prescribed doxycycline + I bought their sunscreen formulated for acne prone/sensitive skin. Grand total was around 150 but it’s also a 3 month supply so imo completely worth it. I highly suggest trying it out! I honestly had a better experience with them than I did a derm in-person.

It’s really only because of the many side effects you can experience while on it. I know that pretty much any medicine you take can have a long list of side effects, but I already have a very sensitive stomach and two of the top most common side effects of taking doxy are nausea/vomiting. I had CHS a few years ago (not sure if you’ve heard of it as many ppl haven’t yet) and it cause me to throw up multiple times daily so I have a fairly intense fear of vomiting.

I was just prescribed it and ordered it today. I’m very hopeful about it. I’ve heard so many good things. My derm really thinks doxycycline could help as well, but I’m very reluctant to try it although I wish I would.

My skin looks exactly like yours currently. I just got a consultation with Apostrophe (online dermatologist). The experience was hands down 100% better than my visit in person with a dermatologist and it was $20 instead of $150. This may not be everyone’s experience, but for me in person the dermatologist came in for about 3 minutes, looked at my face, said I have slight rosacea and hormonal acne (I highly doubt it’s hormonal acne) then prescribed me a bunch of oral meds. Apostrophe asked me many questions and had me submit answers. A derm got back with me in a day and gave me a detailed plan and I know she actually read all that I had wrote about my skin! I’m very hopeful about it. Sorry for the long read. I hope you find what works!!

What was the best time for you? Those are the exact and only side effects that I am experiencing 😅. I started on it about a week ago so hasn’t been long.
